Hey, all! I would like to hunt for fossils in or near Columbus, Ohio. Do any of you have any recommendations for locations to hunt or resources that I could consult?

Thank you!

The famed Ordovician exposures in Cinci are only about 1.5 hours away. Not sure how far you can stray from Columbus though.

Not in Columbus, but have you ever explored the spoil pile at Oakes Quarry Park, in Fairborn? There's some nice Silurian material available there, and picking the spoil heap is permitted (although picking the rest of the quarry is not).

Thank you! I'm in Dayton and have definitely hunted several Ordovician exposures in the area.

Thank you! I have. It's a fun site. If I can't find any good spots near Columbus, then I may default to here.
