Sara truly proved her worth as a fossil talisman:

Congrats on an awesome find! You will go on many more fossil hunts and find uncountable more fossils but you will always remember the moment of this find as sharply as when you first locked eyes on it. ;)

Pretty impressive for a bivalve guy. :P

Cheers.

Congratulations, Max!  That's a wonderful find.  (Sara, you and I know who deserves the credit for the find, but let's not tell Max.)

Thank you everyone for all the nice comments, I appreciate them so much!

And an even bigger thanks to all the people who voted for my fossil! I'm really glad to have won an FOTM contest! :D

(Sara would have loved to take the trophy with her for her next destination, but unfortunately it didn't fit in her suitcase )

Love you all!!!

Thanks a lot Ken! And you're definitely right, I will keep hunting for fossils for a long long time, partly in order to be able to sometimes, if I get lucky, relive a similar feeling to the one I had when finding this :)

You did well to boost your chances with location, timing, and observation.  It's wonderful when it works out.  Congrats, Max!
