Sept. 15 Beach Hunt

David AKA Matt Cable is in town so we went on a beach hunt. No shark teeth but a few bones some with a lot of mineralization. I think David thinks I am weird I keep putting jelly fish and crabs that had washed up back in the water. Hey they got a right to live just need a little help sometimes.

We were going to meet up with Chase this weekend but looks like he is tied up so David is stuck with no shark tooth finding me. Going to take him to the east end flats and the dredge dump I have been working on the bay side of island. But first I have got to disconnect the GPS Travis hid on my truck.

It was nice to have someone to talk fossils with face to face lots of shark tooth hunters here but I am the only fossil hunter, collector on the island I think.

I keep hearing roomers about a beach combing club starting up on the island that would be a good way to meet and share info, hope it can be put together.

I don't know a thing about blogging so comments and suggestions would be of help.

Seems like a very good blog to me :)

I don't know anything about blogging either. I just think you write about whatever is on your mind, which you did :D

I had a great time even if we didn't find a tooth. Looking forward to seeing you again this weekend.

The jellyfish thing is just something I'm not used to. Lake Michigan doesn't have jellies, so I didn't know how dangerous they were. ;)

this was a good blog. you stated your mind, you told a story... very nice!

Good on ya with the jellies thing... I do the same (If I can)... otherwise i would mark them on the ground so kids wont step on them.. (or adults)

As long as you dont disconnect my GPS under the hood.. oops! I didnt say anything!
