A predaceous water beetle.
Taxonomy from Xianye et al. 2018.
Diagnosis (Xianye et al. 2018, p. 4): "Head prognathous with strong mandibles; a pair of rounded compound eyes on the sides of the head; femur narrow and slightly longer than the tibia, with a pair of strong spurs; tarsus pointed towards the end, with a pair of strong claws; abdomen with 8 sterna with a spiracle on each side; female has three pairs of valvulae attached to the eighth sternum; elytra scabrous with a few longitudinal striae; the junctions of the front and posterior margins of the elytra are clearly angled, the elytra protruding, the front edge arcuate."
