Identification
Teeth of Carcharodon carcharias may be identified by erect, triangular crowns with no nutrient groove in the root, no lingual dental band ("bourlette"), and irregular triangular serrations on the edges.
Comments
This tooth has a self-inflicted bite mark in the form of three parallel linear gouges in the labial face of the root made by serrations of another tooth.
