    I believe that you have a sample of D. commune here. If you could still post views of the mouth aperture and of the venter, then it might be possible to confirm that. Practically all of this genus from Whitby come out of the lower Toarcian in the Whitby Mudstone Formation.

    Now that I've seen both views, I would be inclined to say that you have a D.athletum here. It has a more oval whorl section and the ribs cross the venter forming a "V". You can put in the stratigraphy as I mentioned above at any rate.
