Stratigraphy:  Pinecrest Sand Member of the Tamiami Formation

Location:  SMR Phase 10 Pit, Sarasota County, Florida USA.

Status: Extant

 

Notes:  The pear whelk is a common component of the molluscan fauna on both Florida coasts.
