Found this yesterday while hunting with the family, in Big Brook. Can't tell if it's Croc, Mosasaurus, or something else. I forgot to include a ruler in the pictures, but the fragment is about 5 inches in length. Any help on how to safely remove the green sand stuck to it would be greatly appreciated.

Look like today was going to be one of the last mild temperature days with highs only in the low 90's, before things began to heat up again here in Northeast Texas, North Sulphur River area. Went out to an area I have visited in the past but found a creek that was new to me. I was surprised to find some rather impressive fossils right out in the open. One nice mosasaur vertebrae, fish vertebrae, jaw bone, large bone pieces that may be remains of larger worn vertebrae, and a couple of artifacts.

My nephew spotted this down at Compton bay on the Isle of Wight. Sorry about the poor photos. The area is early Cretaceous wealden. The fossil is about 1.5-2cm long. Not sure what it could be but hoping it could be some sort of jaw. If anyone has any suggestions it would be most appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello everyone, I’ve recently purchased what’s said to be a 13 inch cave bear jaw. I’ve been doing research and I’m finding it difficult to tell the difference between a cave bear and a short face bear jaw. Does anyone have any insight, could this jaw be easily misidentified? kind regards Dylan

Found this odd fossil washed up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Eastern shore of U.S.A. It is just over 2 cm. I've found many fossils along the shore here but this one is new to me. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Hey all! I found this jaw segment near Ladonia, TX in North Sulfur River. The part throwing me off from identification is the shape of the bone beneath the teeth. It flattens out (which can be seen in the side view)

I had this piece mixed with a few Sulfur river odds and ends. I was looking at it closely and thought it had a similar texture to the jaw piece wonder if this is possibly a mosasaur coracoid that fits just behind a jaw - not that this piece has anything to do with the jaw pictured 4x2 cm I took pictures from many angles and included the jaw for comparison

This large jaw bone was found in the Peace River (Florida). I don't think it's fossilized, but it doesn't exactly look very-recent either. Surely Holocene I think, although I guess it could be older? Is it horse? Cow? Something else? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! (The brass scale cube measures 1cm square)

does anyone know how to prep this aust cliff jaw bone and tooth out the rock? It is not the goldeny brown bone and the bone looks pretty strong and stable so i'm not sure if acid prepping is fine. any ideas? thanks in advance.

I am looking into buying one of these parts of a mosasaur jaw and wanted to make sure there real. I believe there is, but getting a second opinion always helps.

From the Meherrin River in NE North Csrolina. Local geology and preservation suffuse Plio-Pleistocene. I've eliminated tuna, grouper, wahoo, seabass, drum, sturgeon and tarpon. Im out of ideas. Thoughts?

I found this piece of what I think is lower jaw exposed by eroding sand dunes next to an ephemeral lake in western NSW, Australia. The kind of place where aboriginal stone artefacts are also being exposed by the eroding dunes. While I am not knowledgeable about fossils, I am experienced with our current environment, animals and bone ID. This doesn’t match anything native living presently and isn’t right for something like cow or even camel either. The texture, surface, weight doesn’t match the feel of modern bone and it strongly sticks to the tongue. There is sand cemented to the bone that does not come off. I’ve had a look online and have an idea about what it might be but rather than influence any answers, I will leave it up to the experts here to provide much more educated answers. More pics in further posts.

I was wondering if anyone here can tell me if this is legitimate or not? The seller says it's a museum quality piece, but after looking at it and the back I question. It almost sounds hollow when I knock on it. Would love any feedback, trying to build up my collection and thought this was a very nice looking fossil, but I know very little.

i have found quite a few micro jaws from the hell creek in the past like lizard and fish jaws, however i recently went through some old finds and noticed a small jaw, and i have absolutely no idea what it might be. it doesnt look like fish or lizard to me. the length of the jaw is about 14mm. i got this fossil recently on a fossil fair and to me it kin da looks like a piece of jawbone. there are however no teeth or tooth sockets visible. personally i was thinking maybe sauropod or pterosaur. anyway here are some pictures. please let me know what you guys think!
