Hi, so i just got this mosasaurus jaw from morocco, could someone help me to figure out if it is real? If so, is it possible to say from which exact species it is? Its said to be from morocco... Thank you in advance!

Any thiughts on this? 6.5 inch in length. From Kem Kem. Jawbone. The texture dpesnt look croc, as it isnt rough enough. Features four tooth sockets. Plus a possible tooth stub. Cheers

Find this laying on top of Pierre shale out cropping as if it was dropped by bird or came out of above matrix. I tried putting a tip of it into vinegar and did not fizle but it did degrade the bone and made it soft so it would kind of fall into powder pieces when scraped. I tried burning the tip of it but it did not burn might have been because it was wet from the vinegar. What could it be? Thanks!

Hello, I have what was traded to me as an ornithischian jaw from the Morrison Formation of Wyoming. It measures 5 cm high and has 2 teeth sockets. I believe it may be a Camptosaurus (due to being the only large ornithischian there) partial jaw, but I cannot exclude the possibility of it being a partial theropod jaw. May I have your thoughts? Thank you.

Hello, this is a "mosasaur jaw" from Morocco, I bought it knowing that the jaw was super suspicious and just considered it as a display for the teeth. But on further examination, as you can see on the close up photo, the texture of the jaw bone seems too good for a cast (at least in my opinion and comparing it to other moroccan jaws I saw). Can it be a reconstructed real jaw? It's a crocodile jaw or similar? Or a really good cast? What do you think?

I bought this jaw section and it was labled as a Spinosaurus jaw section. It is from the Kem Kem Beds and is about 4.1 inches.

Hi, Recently I received several unprepared fossils from Nebraska, although the exact location is unknown. One of these fossils I have been preparing is a lower jaws from an unknown animal and I would like to know what it is, and if possible an idea of the time period and/or formation. Any help would be appreciated. I currently think that is probably a lower right jaw from the oreodont Merycoidodont. The dimensions of the jaw are 6cm by 14cm, and I am happy to post more photos if necessary. Thanks!

I found this in the Judith River Formation years ago but have never got it fully identified as a Hadrosaur or Ceratopsian jaw piece. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I'm not sure what exactly this is? it is a strange fossil and according to the seller it is a Plesiosaur skull with a few traces of bone? and was found above the ground. Not sure what to make of that but I think I can see some tooth sockets and maybe the eye sockets (unless I am very mistaken), it just has me stumped! thanks for any help

Is it just me, or does this look like there’s a good chance that it’s either totally separate pieces with significant restoration connecting it, or even just quite a bit of fake areas? I feel like especially from the right side, it appears to be a huge amount of just matrix visible, and even on the left side a good deal of area that’s just matrix. I know that matrix isn’t unusual on pieces, and I wouldn’t mind small amounts of restoration/places of matrix filing in missing areas, but not large portions of something.

I always have trouble telling if jaws are real or manufactured. As far as I can tell this looks real (but incomplete). Let me know if I'm missing something. Looks like there's some bonus verts in the matrix as well.

Hi I am hoping for a little help with this jaw I am thinking of buying please. Listed as Juvenile Woolly Rhino jaw, perma frost find. Has been cleaned and preserved. I have stupidly made a bid on it that if needs be I will reluctantly with draw if need to, but auction ends tomorrow night (Monday) so any thoughs or help is appreciated! Fingers crossed as I like the look of it. Have a sneaky feeling it might be Horse though! Cheers!

I went to the North Sulphur River twice in October with little luck. The first time was after a rain that I thought would get a big rise but only got about a 1 foot rise. The second time saw about a 5 foot rise but each time the rain did nothing to wash away all the mud. It was easy walking because the river was so low and dry but no gravel bars as they are all covered in mud. I went to two different parts of the river as well as the feeder creeks and it was the same. Here are a few pictures of the little I was able to find: Some worn chunckasaur, petrified wood, pyrite sun (cool but common), a couple xiphactinus fangs, a decent mosasaur jaw piece, a piece of mammoth enamel, and a couple other oddities. 1. Some odd fish bone? 2. Horse Tooth? 3. No Idea. I would say fish fin but it doesn't have the flaky fish texture though. 4. Any idea what age and formation these shiny shells come from in the top left of this picture?

Hello! A collector from Brazil has shown me this fossil. Any idea what this partial jaw could be? It is from Santa Maria formation, Brazil. I don't know if it could be from a Dinosaur... it seems too big to be from a prosauropod... Could it be theropod? Or maybe reptilian or synapsid? Thank you very much.

Hi friends! My friend found this while digging in a creek in Polk county, central Florida. Our best guess is horse of some kind? Sorry there is no ruler included in the pictures, but for reference, the white bucket in the picture is a standard 5 gallon plastic bucket. He thinks it's a lower jaw piece but I'm thinking it's upper. The pointy forked protrusion has me especially curious, as I have not seen that in the pictures I've been finding. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and guidance Thanks!

Hello, I found this on my trip a few days ago to Hill Cnty, MT and need some help. It is a jaw, or tooth plate, that is 1.25" long. I wish the teeth were complete! I have provided several views but it seems that my phone can't take good pics anymore, I don't know what happened to it. It is annoying but these are the best pics I could get. Thanks for any help!

These are all out of the same estate auction as my earlier posts. One of the members, found that much of the collection was posted on this site by the former owner but these weren’t. Hello, I purchased a huge box of Badlands mammal stuff a while ago and was able to identify mostly everything. I had some trouble with these two jawbones, though. I'm not really expecting them to be anything surprising but it would help me to put a definite label on them. in both the teeth looked a little like an amphicyonid's but that might just be wishful thinking! Show us your dinosaur jaws! I recently got my first piece. A partial dentary of a juvenile Edmontosaurus from the Hell Creek. After scanning it with photogrammetry I also mirrored the jaw to create the right side of the jaw as well. Quite happy with how the scan turned out too.

Possible jaw I’d help? and is this a mammal foot or leg bone or just a whale rib bone piece?

Found these in eastern NC river this weekend and could use some help identifying. It was in an area most likely Yorktown , found among great white teeth, a horse tooth, tilly bones, whale bone and some shell fragments. Lot of reworked material in the gravel. This item looks like the bones of the front of a lower jaw to me but these holes off to the sides confuse me - they are rounded inside like a tooth or tusk might have sat in them but the angles are odd - I could be wishful thinking here - just seemed out of the ordinary to me. Then the other is a bone it’s much lighter and the pores are much larger than the whale bone typical in the area and I can’t get the best photo of contours but it really looks similar to a foot or leg bone of a mammal I just don’t know what - but I’ll accept it could just be a worn whale rib bone - just gotta be sure, ya know? I don’t ever come across much mammal stuff so I’m struggling to say for sure and any help is appreciated! @bbostick your the main man I know can say if whale or not if you don’t mind sharing input!
