Found this hiking a mountain in the desert outside Las Vegas. Is it just me or is it an actual skull fossil. Its way to clean obviously shaped. Even with the darker sediment where an eye socket would be. Im not a fossil hunter so this may just be a neat rock but heres the pics. Any help is appreciated

I found this here in Las Vegas, it looks to be a turtle head. I'm using a Chromebook for the pictures and unfortunately I don't have any other options to take pictures right now but there is faint yellow line surrounding the gums going around the eye. the same yellowish color appears around a kidney shape near the back of the head and seems to be in the same area the otic chamber is on turtles. on one side of the head it appears to have teeth marks which I have found on other "turtle" pieces in this same area. I've also found what appear to be turtle or reptilian eggs. on one I sanded the "egg shell " off and you can see what appears to be a baby turtle inside and it looks like it was smashed probably right before it hatched . I will try to post these also sometime today. I'm not a paleontologist Anthropologist or geologist but I really believe with DNA testing there's something here if you can't already see it in the pictures.

Hi Everyone, this is my first post and I like to thank you for your information. I will be traveling to the US in October. I'm going to travel in my car from Los Angeles, las vegas, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Oklahoma, Memphis, New Orleans, Panama City, Sarasota, and Orlando. I want to take advantage of that to do little fossil huntings across that sites. Obviously, I don't want to do something illegal or wrong while collecting. I was talking with some guy from natural science and tell me which is legal and which not. The original idea is to fossil collect near the road. Do you know where to find good fossils like ammonites, corals, shells, echinoderms, etc near roads? This will be my route. I'm not professional or the next Alan Grant or Charig. I only want one specimen or two from every place if possible. Thanks to everyone, sorry for my English. If you tell me where to stop near the road or taking a detour for a mile will be alright. I have already some point marked but you're the bosses, boys and Girls!!!

I found this lovely piece near Las Vegas, Nevada. I’m no expert, but I’m thinking this is petrified wood. Looking for a more trustworthy opinion than my own. Thoughts?

Hello! I live in Las Vegas and I love fossil hunting in Frenchman Mountain, the there are trilobites everywhere, I finaly found a full body trilobite there, can you guys I.D this one for me? I am pretty sure they are Olenellus nevadensis, because they are common in Nevada (who would have guessed that?) but I am far from an expert.

Hello I found these at Frenchman MT Southern NV. Are these real fossils or fakies? I just recently found a trillobite body imprint there so I know that there are fossils there. If anyone wants a good fossil hunting place in Southern NV that is the place, it is owned by the BLM so you can take most fossils you find.

Found these trace fossils and possible pseudo fossils at an exposure of the Pioche Shale, Early Cambrian, just outside Las Vegas, Nevada on 6/29/14. A little help with the IDs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
