Hello everyone, Charleston fossil hunter here. Well primarily shark teeth. I just recently got back into hunting now that I have the time. Have only been to a few creeks in Summerville to sift, an outcrop on the Chandler Bridge Creek and one land site in Harleyville that included the Hawthorne formation. Love watching @blackriverfossils as well. My goal is to find a 4-5'' Megalodon tooth! If anyone can suggest or wants to trade location spots, or other good public spots--let me know! Happy hunting. P.S. Here's a pic of a tooth I found in the Chandler Bridge the other week (if anyone can exactly ID it for me as well, that would be great).

Please help identify this partial tooth found at Cherry Grove Beach in North Myrtle Beach, SC. This was originally passed off as a Squalicorax, but after further review, it seems heavier and the part of the root that is complete seems different. Teeth may be posterior. Thoughts?

I have here a tooth from Charleston, SC, a river find. I've narrowed it down to a white shark, and based on this guide I'm torn between Carcharodon Plicatilis and Carcharodon Carcharias. I'm leaning towards the former. Could anyone please provide confirmation?

Any idea who this came from? Length across middle is 3 ½”; Length across top is 4”; Length across bottom is 3” x Depth of 1 ½” x Width that varies between 2 ¼” and 2 ½” (measured approx 1” in. On either end). Weight is 245 grams (Once again, I can't upload the MAIN shot, topside, so, this one may be more difficult to ID)

I need help identifying this fossil I found in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was located on the beach.

What kind of bone might be, and from whom did it come? Length is 3 ¼” across top and 1 ¼” across bottom. Depth is 1 ½”. Weight is 60 grams (have another side view shot, but can't seem to upload it...)

Might this be an armadillo scute or partial turtle shell - or, just a #&!$ rock?!??: Approximate Measurements: Length across top is 3” Length across bottom is 2 ½” x 2 ½” Width x ½” depth. Weight is 135 grams.

Hoping this is a big a_ _ Coprolite??! (and NOT a darn rock. LOL!) Approximate Measurements: Length 6 ½” x Width across fattest end is 3” (with a 7 ½” girth wrapped around) and 1 ½” across smallest end (w/ a 4 ½” girth). Weight is 610 grams. (Dang it. Have a pic of the backside as well as the opposite end tip, but, they aren't uploading for some reason?)

Measurements: Length is 3 ¾” across the longest side and 3” across the shorter side x slightly less than 3” wrapped around the thickest part of the girth and 2” around the tip x 1” W. Weight is 60 grams (have A 4th pic of the other tip end, but, couldn't get 'er to upload...)

Might this be a Dire wolf or sperm whale tooth? Sloth class or just a plain's rock ;)

This guy measures 4"L x ¾" and 1" crosswise on the thicker end, and ⅝" & ⅜" crosswise on the smaller end x 4 ½" around the girth on the thicker end x 1 ½" around the thinner tip.

Hi everyone, I have here fossils found off a river bank near Charleston, South Carolina. I believe I know what some of these are, but would like some confirmation. For many of them, I have pretty much no idea. I'd appreciate any help! 1) Carcharocles Angustiden? 2) Megalodon fragment possibly 3 3) Front/back of the same tooth fragment 4) Front/back of the same tooth fragment. Megalodon possibly? 5) Front/back. Might it be a whale bone? 6) Front/back. I think many of the ones following are whale or dolphin bones. 7) Front/back 8) Front/back 9) Front/back 10) These looked similar to me, maybe fish tail bones? 11) Front/back 12) Front/back 13) Front/back 14) Front/back

Obviously with everything going on in the world I would not be going out to go on excursions, but once everything is over I would like to try and find some teeth in my spare time. I live in Irmo and was wondering if anyone knows of any nearby locations that are good for fossils. Places not nearby would be fine as well, for I am up for a little bit of a drive.

Found this a few months ago in a river in the Low-country of South Carolina. Tried to identify it myself but could not come up with anything. Curious as to what species you guys think it is.

I went out on a excursion a few months ago and I dug up this fossil. It looks like maybe it has two shark teeth within it, but it could also be a mammal tooth. I found this in the Low Country of South Carolina. Any help would be appreciated! Pictures below!
