Hi everybody! Today i want to kindly ask you help for the correct ID of this trilobite. My choice is Morocops ovatus but obviously i prefer to listen the ideas of experts (@piranha @Kane @Tidgy's Dad and more). I'm thankful to everyone who want to participate at the topic Here are the info: Origin: Jbel Zguilma (Foum Zguid), near Alnif, Morocco Age: Emsian, Devonian Lenght: 5.5 cm / 2.16 inches The trilobite is not in my hands, the photos are from the seller. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!

Cool Moroccan trilobite, maybe retouched?
Max-fossils posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hey guys, Saw this very nice looking trilobite for sale at a reasonable price, so I’m thinking of buying it. However I’m curious to know whether or not the specimen may be fake/retouched/in any way artificially handled. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance! Quite a large specimen even for this quite big species. The length given is of the animal along the centre of its back, not the diameter.

So I wonder whether pyritised trilobites can occur in the same grey limestones which usually yield the dark-grey, black or brownish trilobites which show no signs of any pyritisation. I show here as an example Metacanthina from the
