A friend of mine who runs a website specializing in ammonites recently acquired this ammonite from a well-known French collector's website. The collector hasn't taken it down yet, so don't be surprised if the same ammonite I'm showing here turns up when you google the species. The original owner had identified it as Raeboceras subglobosum and told him that it came from the South Dakotan Late Cretaceous Maastrichtian. My friend is convinced that the id is false and even thinks that it might be a Chondroemileia from the Bajocian of Montana. Since I'm not expert enough to be able to help him further, he asked me to post it here in the hopes that someone might be able to say something about it. Any ideas?

Hi all, due to various moves across continents I lost information on this particular Ammonite. I know you love some good detective work and I would be so grateful if anyone could help getting the label back up to speed Size is 12 cm long and 5 cm wide. What I could decipher/infer from the remnants of the label: Meto(f).... sp. Djebel Ait ... north of Goulmima, Morocco Thanks for taking a look!
