Here is an avian coracoid that I found on the beach in South Carolina. It is from an unidentified off-shore formation that regularly deposits Pleistocene fossils on the shore. I am hoping that someone @Auspex can ID it to genus perhaps. Thanks for looking.

I found this fossil bird bone recently while fossil collecting along Calvert Cliffs (Maryland Miocene). I collected the bone directly from the fossil layer it was in. I believe it is a Metacarpal bone from the wing region. Fairly small measuring at approximately 13/16ths of an inch long. Can't believe the thin section stayed intact while sifting in my screen. Any ideas as to species would be appreciated. Daryl.

This bird bone was found in Bone Valley. I was told that it is from a raptor/bird of prey, and would like to find out more about what it was from. I have one more photo that I will add in the first comment. -Bill H.
