These fossils have been found within 500 yards of each other on surface soil in Venice, Florida. Other early pleistocene dated fossils in immediate area. When I found the first one, I thought it was a nail from a dog. Several others found in the last few months. I appreciate any input on these identifications. Happy New Year -Michael

I think the cylindrical ones are crinoids but not sure on the cones Garage sale find in NW San Antonio. May or may not be from San Antonio. One of the cones is broken in half (pictured) and the broken sides of some cones (also pictured) I noticed that the cones have a line going down from tip to the bottom (one pictured) Please help ID

Does anyone know what this is? I am thinking, perhaps, it is a piece of a stone crab claw? Someone mentioned shark tooth. Found at Quintana Beach, Texas; Gulf of Mexico ocean, two days after two hurricanes hit landfall.

Good morning. I found this very heavy black brick that appears to have been broken off. It has a sheen to the outside of it. I can tell that it’s been poured as I can see the flow lines and the main lines in it aren’t natural but I’m not sure if it’s slag or coal tar. It came from a field where a house used to sit. I have found other chunks of it around but none have these straight grooves on top like this piece does. Thank you in advance.

Hello. I have this large black ammonite acquired from a man who lived in Brazil. Supposedly this ammo is from Peru, but I do not know any other info on it. There are so many ammo types it makes ones head spin trying to identify the details. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks!

Need help identifying what appears to be a tooth or bone of some sort. Found in the far northeastern part of Iowa (almost South Dakota) about 8 inches deep in the sandy shore of the Big Sioux River. The left and right side appear to be very slightly broken off, as well as what I would assume to be the bottom.

I found this on a family vacation this August on the beach at Wildwood Crest, NJ in the ocean. It is 4.5 cm long, 2.5 cm wide and .75 cm tall. Does anyone know what this is?

Hi! I found this on my recent trip to Lyme Regis, UK. It would be Jurassic in age. Found on the beach, so I can’t say what layer it came from unfortunately. Its striations are quite ornate and beautiful, and I’d love to know what it is! Bottom view

I found this black rock. I’ve compared it to other rocks and it’s either double or triple the weight of this one. This weighs 42.2 grams, was thinking it could possibly be a meteorite. I’ve put a magnet up to it and there is no magnetic attraction so i have no idea what it could be.

Whole black Ammonite, is it real?

I picked these up today for super cheap and would like to gift them to a picky collector I know. Color is actually very black pictures seem to lighten it significantly. If any of you have any knowledge on these I'd appreciate your opinion. I also got 2 little ones from same man liquidating his deceased aunts house along with a really great vacuum! The large one is whole. The 2 pieces are 3" each and are only halves

Hi, prob a newby question. But while I was trawling on the net, I noticed that Trilobites from different regions of the world are different colours. For eg: Morocco - black Russia - sandy brown China - sandy brown Is there a reason for this?

Found in Pennsylvania, it is somewhat light but has a little weight to it. It Also shows up on a metal detector.

I live in Kitty Hawk, NC, and have the glorious Atlantic Ocean down the street. On a recent beach walk, I found what appears to be a fossilized bone from a large marine creature. I have looked through photos online and have not been able to identify it... and I am hoping someone might have a moment to satisfy my curiosity. It is approximately 9” wide and 6” tall... see photos below. I would be happy to take other shots if needed. Thanks very much!

I found this piece last weekend on the side of the James river. I cannot tell if it is old or just from an animal that died recently. The end of the curved piece reminds me of an animals tooth or possibly even a long nail. It is round with black on the outside. Very smooth like enamel. I really have no idea. Who are my smart fossil ppl out there who can identify it...?!
