Found this in a gravel deposit on the Brazos River. I'm totally new to this, but I think it's a tooth. Measures 2 1/2" × 1 3/8". Thoughts? EDIT *Sorry if this posted to the wrong place.

Hello Fossil friends! I have a couple fossils(?) I'm going to see if I can get help identifying. I found all of them in the same local area of a river shore in northeastern Kansas, so I'm assuming Pennsylvanian time frame. I have some fossils that are obvious shells and coral, but these I'm not sure and would like your input! If you need more photos or angles, let me know. #1 I think is a fish vertebrae that's slightly flattened. It's about 1 cm x .3 cm.

Hi. Went to Big Brook again today. I will post everything in hunting trip later. But I wanted to post one of my findings. I think I found the rare chicken bone. Haha. Just want to make sure it’s not something better. Thanks for any feedback.

What are the differences between marine mammals and land mammals?
Digi posted a topic in Questions & Answers
In places where you can find both land mammal bone fragments and marine mammal bone fragments, how can you tell the difference? Would marine mammals have denser bones? Would hollow bones (marrow eaten out or other) be an indicator of land mammals?- 4 replies

Hey guys and gals, While this isn't a fossil, I was wondering, if any of you had the time, could you help me ID this bone, as many of you are good at that sort of thing and I am clueless. Found in Menlo Park, CA. Still doing yard work when I have time and I came across this. Thanks for your help in advance! Hope everyones having a good day.

Hey Guys, I'm new to site and was wondering if you could give me hand in distinguishing whether this interesting looking find is actually a bone or not. I was found in Monmouth county NJ at the Big Brook fossil site. Best Dan
