Bought a couple Trilobites from different dealers in Quartzsite Arizona. Hoping to get better info then what I was given. One has a faded label, the other nothing. First one supposedly came from an old collection and has an old label stating "Astropyge, Alnif Morocco. Size 1.5 inch 2nd one has no information. Know its from Morocco (at least very sure) Size 2 inches I know they're not perfect but at least from what I could tell they both look real. They both have decent eyes. Thanks for looking

Found this online! Might be a baby dinosaur skull with teeth and an eye but don’t know
Hawk2 posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello there! I stumbled across this online, what looks to be a petrified baby dinosaur skull fossil. It looks like it has a row of teeth, an eye and eye sockets! My question is if it actually is a dinosaur or if it’s nothing but a rock. -
I bought these Ammonites in Lyme Regis after not finding too much while there (mostly due to the cold driving us in early) This is the last of the things I’ve bought/had bought for me, and therefore have little info on.

We’ve had some dispute about this shark tooth. Bought on the Isle of Wight in a box labelled “Sand Shark teeth”

Me and my friends are convinced this isn’t a sand shark tooth. But we can’t agree on what it is, between Cretolamna and Otodus (of course it could be neither, we are idiots)- 6 replies

DISCLAIMER: most of these pictures are pretty bad. But I feel these specimen are so well known that it is easy to tell what they are at least the genus. So I went to a rock shop with fossils (Actually landed a job there now.) They had this selection of fossils and I grabbed all that I thought fit. (they had no labels) I was able to identify some of these but others I wanted some input. 1. I believe this is a fish. Probably knightia from Wyoming (as its the cheapest and most common) however in the quality it is in, I'm sure I'll only wonder. 2. both pictures are of th

I had recently bought this trilobite for $10 in a fossil shop in Ohio. Could anybody tell me the species and what time period it would have came from, and also if it was even worth buying. It was approximately 2 inches long.

I got this a few years back in Canaan valley (if memory serves) West Virginia before With a bunch of other fossils. I bought it, as this was before I had learned that you could actually legally hunt fossils yourself (if I had known, that valley would have been scoured for fossils, as its geology is apparently amazing). I assume this was from the area, although this could be incorrect. This one caught my eye because of its curvature, is this the way it was when it was alive or is it just disarticulated septa? Is it possible to get a close ID on this orthocerid?

I am still interested in expanding my fossil collection, and i´ve been looking at various option in my home city, but there is literally only one single mineral store, and it really is quite small. I´ve visited it a few times and for now they don´t really have anything i am absolutely interested in. Since fossil sites are so far away, i can only collect at them occasionally, and then again, reptile fossils (which i am most interested in) don´t occur too often around here. I don´t really feel like ordering from international websites (such as eBay or any of the international fossil stores) at

Hi, I got a question: I have bought a tooth from the mosasaur Liodon. It is very find and all, but then i found this website, that said that the teeth from Liodon doesn't have any serrations. Then i got a little confused, because on the Liodon tooth i bought, i can clearly see serrations. So is this not a Liodon tooth after all, or is this just wrong information? Can somebody clear this out for me?
