Hi everyone, I'm planning a trip to South Carolina and Florida in late 2020. It's a family trip that I'm incorporating some fossil hunting into. And because it's a family trip, it's going to be beaches as opposed to rivers and creeks - dad's back can't handle the terrain (no Peace River this trip). As far as fossil hunting goes, my goal is shark teeth and quality ones over a large quantity. I'd like large ones, but I'm sure we all would. I've done my research on both states and have a pretty good idea of which beaches I can hunt in South Carolina. I'm having more issues

I found this June 13th laying fully uncovered on the sand. The weather was horrible and the tide was very high due to the tropical storm in the Gulf. I’m very new at fossil identification and any help with identifying and how I should preserve it will be very much appreciated.

Found this yesterday in the water at Caspersen Beach, FL. It looks like none of the other sharks’ teeth (or assumed sharks’ teeth). Found using a metal sifter. Any idea on what type it is or age, based on color (not brown or black)?

Apologies for the makeshift ruler aka chapstick, which is used for reference to size. We're on vacation and have limited resources, can't even locate a quarter in this house! Can someone please help me identify this tooth which I believe looks similar to alligator or possibly barracuda? All help is appreciated thanks!

Hi all, this is my first post! I found these on Caspersen beach, Florida - any clues as to what they may be? My newbie instincts say the brown one may be dugong rib bone and the black one a whale vertebrae? Thanks for any helpful replies!

Help identify this small fossil found in Caspersen Beach near Venice Florida (quite small, about 1/2 inch).

http://imgur.com/a/avRfx I'm mostly curious of what kind of shark the tooth belonged to! Found it last weekend at Caspersen Beach in Venice, Florida. The biggest tooth I've found so far in 3 weeks of hunting. Hopefully some of you can help identify the other items. • Pictures 1-11 were all found on Caspersen Beach, Venice, Florida. • Pictures 12-15 location found is unknown. • Pictures 16-18 the fossil came from river-rock transported from an unknown location. The potential bone in picture 5-7 has a concave surface, sort of like a ball joint. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
