This fossil, found on a beach near Jensen Florida, is nearly about 2.125 cm. long, just under 1 cm. wide at its widest, and just under a .25 cm across. I'm thinking probably claw but maybe tooth. Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, I am a very inexperienced fossil collector. I found this claw in my driveway among the gravel. I live near Austin, TX but I’m unsure where the gravel originated. Any ideas?

Hi this is a mystery claw I got from Hells creek on Ant Hill. It’s about0.2 inches or 0.5cm long. I can include better pictures but there too blurry so I included the two best ones.

Hi all - I am new to the group so please forgive me if I miss any information. I found this piece in question on a sandbar right off of Wallops Island, Virginia. I believe it is some kind of tooth or claw/talon. Unfortunately I am on vacation and left the piece at home. But I estimate it to be around 6 inches long (0.15 meters) and about 2 inches wide (0.05 meters). It has a little weight to it but still light. This was the best picture I had that shows the full piece and the root top.

Hi Everyone, I've been working through quite a bit of shale from the Stark member and have a specimen I would like your thoughts on. My brain sees a crustacean claw due to the shape, but I think its more likely that it's a fin. What do ya'll think I have here? Dimensions are 1 cm by 1 cm. My "holding the phone camera to my microscope lens" method isn't working so well, so here's a rough outline of the shape: And the counterpart from the split Thanks,

I recieved this claw a while back with no Identification or locality information. If I remember correctly it was said to come out of the Hell Creek formation in South Dakota. It is weather but still has some strong features. Does anyone have an idea on its ID? If I need to post more pictures I sure can.

Hi, I’m considering buying this “dimetrodon claw” and was wondering if it is really a dimetrodon claw. It was found in waurika, Oklahoma, Ryan formation and is from the Permian. I’m not sure how big it is but it looks pretty small. TIA

Don't think I've ever seen a claw (other than crab) attributed to Lee Creek matrix, but could this be one? In person, it doesn't look like fish tooth or crab, so wondering what others think it might be. Not sure how well it shows in the photos, but It has a very prominent ridge running along its inner curve -- shown in last several pics. Scale is 1mm

Hi all, this is my first time posting so please be gentle. I found this in my back yard and I am just looking for help with an ID. In Katy Texas, just west of Houston. It's small, less than 2" total but the fragment is around 1 inch. It's in a sandstone matrix (a couple of geologists told me it is "young" sandstone, whatever that means). I am new to Texas and not familiar with the history here. Based on Googling, it looks to me like maybe a Pleistocene-era alligator claw or possibly snapping turtle claw. It does not look like a tooth, alligator or otherwise. it has a groove running down the side (probably down both sides) and isn't really conical. the only ridge is on the outer/top part (the curved edge). Just curious about what it might be and hoping someone with more expertise can assist. Thanks in advance for any insights you may have!

Seller doesn't know what it's from beyond claw and phalanx from Kem Kem in Morocco. Price is pretty good, so it tempts me if anyone has any idea what it's from. I have seen these crop up as raptor claws or deltadromeus claws elsewhere--which to me seems more speculative putting a name to it than it actually being from one of those species. But if anyone knows anything, that would be great.

So.... It's a rock from an abandoned house rock garden. I'm guessing a vacation find because we don't have these around here. It looks like a claw because the base is flat or straight across. About 3 1/2 cm. I can't offer much info on origin.

Hey guys, I have had this claw in my collection for a few months now, I was told that this was a dromaeosaur claw. I wanted to get it looked at by the forum since I’m still just an amateur when it comes to fossils. Was hoping to get some thoughts on it. Thanks!

Hey guys, I saw this shown as a “raptor”/dromaeosaur claw. What do you guys think? Is it dromaeosaurid? Is it a dinosaur claw?

Spinosaurus claw and bones - real?
Twinsen posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
Hello, could you help me what do you think about this Spinosaurus claw and bones? I´m thinking about buy it. I know, that is reconstructed, but I hope is not fake, or is it? Thank you very much for help. -
Hi folks, Need some help with this fossil being advertised as a Tarbosaurus claw. Seller says it's from Mongolia (doesn't know formation) and that it is about 1 inch in length. Seller provided no other useful information so my apologies if this isn't very descriptive. If it is from Mongolia I would think that it would be theropod indet? Would appreciate some input on it!
