Evening all. I have been looking through some purchased fossils and came across this jaw from morocco. It is certainly crocodile as stated not a dinosaurian? It looks similar to croc Jaw from where I collect being toothless and all but just wanted to make sure. Thanks Liam

I was wondering if I could get help on a ID on these. I have quite a few and have been organizing them with my crocodile and alligator teeth, but they have some notable differences. The croc and gator teeth I have there is a enamel covering its core. The texture is different too. I have a few of these I've found and different sizes. If anyone could lend a thought that would be awesome Thanks Brandon

Hello everyone, I was in Big Brook nj for a little while today and found this interesting bone. I'm not to sure if it's identifiable but it does remind me of a jaw section like a mosasaur or croc. Any help will appreciated, if I missed an angle or need additional pictures do let me know.

Greetings! I am glad to be here. I work with living crocodilians and have a growing interest in their ancestors, specifically the Crocodylomorphs (I often just call them "crocs" when in the Paleo context). I have a small, but growing collection of fossils. I'm interested in learning of others' "croc" fossil finds, knowledge and experience, and to share mine, as well. I have been since I was a child in awe of these remarkable Archosaur-line reptiles that survived the dinosaur extinction event and swim in my backyard today. I enjoyed browsing the photos and threads related to "crocs" and look forward to my experiences here. Thanks for having me, and thank you to the founders and moderators/administrators of this fine forum.

Hi, I brought this bone from the Bathonian of Oxfordshire. I suspected it was crocodile or dinosaur. It would be nice to hear some opinions on this specimen.

Had the beach to myself yesterday and had a great morning! Two and a half hour of all surface finds, no sifting. One of the best crocs I’ve seen from Douglas definitely made my week!

Went to Douglas Point, MD today with the goal of getting some angel shark teeth. I found 7 for my collection.

Found some really nice teeth on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. A lot of really nice sand tiger teeth, a nice Otodus, and two really pretty small croc teeth, and two partial croc teeth

Hey everyone, i have this interesting Croc osteoderm/fish mouth plate. I am leaning a lot more towards Croc, but this one looks pretty different than usual because of the dimples being a different shape and arranged in a row; maybe it’s just from a different part of the body. It would also be complete if it’s Croc, which is unusual. Size is about 3/4”. It is definitely not a concretion in case some pics are misleading (some bony structure is still visible on the back of the specimen when looking at it in person). @non-remanié @frankh8147 @Trevor @Plax @Al Dente @MarcoSr Thanks!

NEED HELP!!! Is This Just an Iron Concretion or A Preserved Fossil?

Hello everyone, I am in desperate need of help with a huge debate I have been having with a friend over fossils preserved in ironstone concretions. From some of what I had read to some advice from other members I it possible to find vertebrate bone among shells and other mollusks preserved in an ironstone concretion. Whether it leaves a trace of the organism, morphs the organic material into the structure of the iron concretion through the decomposition with preserving, or whatever else it may be it seems to be possible. So recently I have hunted a place known to have recorded marine cretaceous shell and other mollusk found in ironstone concretion as well as cretaceous plants in shale, it seems like not to vast of enough study has been done there only from what I know, but since no vertebrate material had yet been discovered there though there can maybe be the possibility. I found these two particularly distinct pieces in iron concretions that exactly mimic the scute structure of soft shell turtle and croc in my opinion, I know how iron concretions are famous for leaving psuedofossils and such but these two pieces look way to exact and since its possible for shells and mollusks to preserve why not scutes? So I am here looking to end this debate, I'm looking for your opinion, can these be labeled as fossils, traces, etc? Or are these among some of the world's best iron concretions and nothing more. Your input especially if you are very experience in this subject would be tremendously appreciated.

Hey everyone, I got this tooth from Jersey that struck me as being something different at first glance. The general shape, very pronounced cutting edges, and concentric layers visible at the base made me think that it’s not Mosasaur, but rather some type of Croc. If it’s Croc it is something other than Thoracosaurus which makes it a unique tooth. It’s about 3/4”. Thanks! Joseph @non-remanié @frankh8147 @Al Dente @siteseer @MarcoSr @Carl

Hello, I found this little tooth yesterday in Monmouth County New Jersey. It has two really well defined cutting edges and is heavily faceted. It doesn't look anything like the other Xiphactinus teeth I've found so I was thinking croc (not Thoracosaur)? It really looks like an enchodus tooth but the root says differently. As always, all help is greatly appreciated!

Hello everybody, this is all my new bones from morocco, i need many precision on it, if you could. I know they are few publication of Kem Kem but you coule maybe help me. Firstly, i have those two vert, i don’t have idea for the identification. The smallest is clearly a reconstruction, perhaps with a piece of rib.
