From the hell creek formation in carter county, originally labeled as Dromaeosaurus but as far as I’m aware the only two species of raptor that exists in Hell Creek Fm are Acheroraptor and Dakotaraptor. Please let me know if more pictures are needed to ID CH: 12 mm CBL: 6 mm CBW: 3 mm 7 denticle per 1 mm DISTAL mesial denticles are not visible

Hi everyone, I recently acquired a batch of small theropod teeth and was hoping to get a second opinion on some ids since a few seem kinda special. The first one I'm really leaning towards Dakotaraptor. 2-5 I'm not sure. They're all very similar looking but have very different base shapes including oval, almond, pinched rectangle, and pinched almond. The serration densities are also very interesting. The mesial serrations on all are much smaller than the distal serrations. The last one I think is a really tiny T-Rex. It's a dead ringer for a large Rex just very small. All six are from The Hell Creek of Carter County, Montana. Any insight is greatly appreciated as always! Tooth 1: Tooth 2: Tooth 3: Tooth 4: Tooth 5: Tooth 6:

Hi everyone! I recently acquired this from the Hell Creek of Carter County. I assumed it was a juvie Rex and but was asked to check the serration density and it came back weird so I thought I'd ask for some input. I'm hoping I can at least rule out Nano which I will be shocked if this even has the possibility of being Nano. We might be looking at another "Larsonraptor" situation (if you know you know). CH is 26 mm CBL is 11 mm CBW is 8.18 mm mesial serration density is 14 for 4 mm distal serration density is 10.5 for 4 mm DSDI is 4/3 Any insight is appreciated as always!

Is this a nanoryrannus dakotaraptor or another dromaeosaur tooth?
Fossil Maniac posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello! I found this tooth online it is labeled as a “dromaeosaur” but I would like to identify it further. I was thinking it could most likely be a nanotyrannus or a dakotaraptor. Unfortunately the seller didn’t provide a locality, all I know is that it is from the hell creek formation in Montana. Thank you for any help.- 6 replies

Hi everyone! Here's another little tooth that has me stumped. It has a pinch like a Nano, but the serration density is what I've come to expect from a raptor. At least I got some really nice shots of the serrations! CH: 8 mm CBL: 5.5 mm CBW: 2 mm mesial serration density: 6/mm distal serration density: 4.25/mm So what do you all think? Nano? Dakotaraptor? Tyrannosaur/Dromaeosaur indet.? Any insight is appreciated as always!

Hi everyone! I've been going over some small Hell Creek Theropod teeth and this one stood out to me. The serrations on the mesial side are pretty worn but using my microscope I was able to find a few enough remnants to get a measurement. The mesial serrations near the tip were pretty intact as well and I got a similar density there. CH 11 mm CBL 7 mm CBW 2.5 mm 7.3 denticle/mm mesial 7 denticle/mm mesial tip 4.19 denticle/mm distal mesial carina is completely straight, serrations do not extend to base. So what do you all think? Is it Dakotaraptor?
