Hey guys, being the amateur fossil enthusiast that I am I have a question, why are fossils from the weaker dinosaurs more common than those at the top of the food chain? Triceratops bones are so common and cheap yet a chunk of T. rex bone can cost a whole lot more. Why?

I have 8 Cretaceous dinosaur toe bones that I got from Judith river Montana. I was told some were Tyrannosaur and some were struthiomimus. I cannot tell if that is true or not and need your guys help. #1 #4. 1 #3. #2. #7 #6. #5. #8.

Hello everyone, On this edition of Rex or nano, we have this nice little mailbox score I got earlier this year. The seller and I are reasonably certain that it is a young adult rex. But I wanted to bring it to you folks to get your assessment. It matches the locality of Rex ( hell creek, from a microsite in Carter county) and based on my research from the forum and elsewhere it checks out as tyrannosaurid. (Ie: robustness and seemingly no pinch) Bonus question: I'm also curious on the placement of the tooth in the animals jaw. I have reason to believe it may be a right maxillary tooth.

With a bone I found yesterday, upon cutting it open, I saw what appears to have been a tube going through it that had been permineralized like the rest. Was this originally some sort of blood vessel that went down the length of the bone or could it be something else? Thanks! Note: Dino-bone such as this specimen is found in numerous locations in the immediate area of the Four-Corners states of the U.S. I live in that immediate area and I am able to easily travel to Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, or Colorado and back home in a single day on my expeditions. Some areas such as on an Indian Reservation or B.L.M. land prohibits taking such specimens without a permit, while in other areas the taking of such specimens is allowed. If anyone comes to this part of the U.S. to find such a specimen, please be careful to avoid collecting such in an illegal or prohibited manner. Thank you.

These egg shells were found at a site in Montana with some troodon teeth are these possibly troodon egg shells? There around 1mm thick with a smooth surface

I have a couple questions about the long bone on the far left and the smaller on the far right there labeled as raptor Leg bones from the kem kem beds any idea what dinosaur these could possibly be from and what location on the animal. They came from the same animal.

Hi there I recently purchased a Albertasaurus tooth. A portion is in a matrix and there are some broken off pieces. This would be my first attempt a putting a fossil back together. If you could provide any input on 1. if it would devalue it by doing it, 2. how I should do it, 3. and what tools or glue or putty I should use. If you could dumb down the language for me that would be appreciated, like I said this is my first time!

I just got this and it will be arriving soon, It will be my largest dinosaur tooth yet once It comes. It’s a Tyrannosaur indet for now and it’s from the Judith River Formation. Just wanted to share this. I wanted to share more information compared to my other topic.

Hello! I’m not sure if this is going to be a “oh he had that set” type of post but I hope not haha! long story short about 14 years ago (when I was 12) I got a rock collection from a yard sale with my mother and inside were some cool fossils which I added rocks next to throughout. I forgot I had this for about 12 years. Each fossil has an identifying yellow card - I think I found the distributor of this from way back when but I’m unsure. I don’t want to sell anything as I kind of treasure my childhood but I’d love to know if this stuff is actually real because that would be pretty awesome lol! Apparently I have a dinosaur bone? I’d like to know! thank you for taking the time to look I also understand it’s impossible to verify without tests and stuff but, I’m hoping for some optimistic responses!
