Found these 2 matching partial bones in the same location. I’m confident they are bones, but unsure of their origin. This site is known for Pleistocene fossils. Savannah, GA. Savannah River. Shark Tooth Island.

Found this unique looking bone but can’t pinpoint an ID. I’ve seen similar bones on pictures of Giant Ground Sloths but the back of the one I have isn’t quite as curved. I’m definitely thinking it’s a part of a finger or toe.

Partial 'Megaloceros giganteus' Jaw: I'd Love to Learn More about It...
JamieC7696 posted a topic in Fossil ID
This is a partial 'Megaloceros giganteus' jaw I recently bought, which I'd love to learn more about - but especially the following: 1. Is it actually from Megaloceros, or - indeed - another mammal? 2. Can we tell how mature the animal was when it died? 3. Is the jaw a composite at all? 4. How are such fossils prepared for sale after being found: i.e., I'm especially curious to learn about whether paint and/or glue are applied - and, if so, what would it have looked like before such preparation, upon its discovery?- 2 replies

Found almost fully submerged in the wet sand beneath the waves of Holden Beach. It was found within newly replenished sand from dredging that’s occurring currently a couple miles off the coast. Very heavy and dense(1.257kg), porous of course and it’s not perfectly symmetrical at any angle I view it from. I’d guess some whale bone but I know very little about fossils. There’s also tens of thousands of Hardouinia Mortonis (PeeDee Cretaceous) coming up through the dredge pipes if that helps in any way. Longest length ≈ 15cm Longest width ≈ 10cm Longest depth/height ≈ 8cm Narrowest depth/height ≈ 3cm Any help is appreciated, thanks. Also vinegar to try and clean the barnacles and such off?
