I found this along the central Oregon Coast. I was so curious about what it looked like inside, so I cut it in half. I was thinking maybe some type of reptile or amphibian egg. It looks like something seeped into the "Egg" rock that created the black discoloration on the edges and some interior parts. Any idea on what this might be would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, I came across this “oviraptor egg” and was tempted to buy it. However, it is being sold very cheap and is from China, where a lot of faux fossils are made. Would anyone know whether this is real? Thanks

My friend found these about 15ft underground in Polaski County Missouri. He said there were quite a few like 68 I think. Each one has something on the inside that rattles when you shake it. He busted the one in top left of main photo open and it looks to be a yolk but not sure. All his eggs are roughly the same size beside the small one on right and I would say they are a little larger than baseball size but can't say for sure what measurements are. Any ideas?

Found in Germany, sadly i don´t know if i found it where i live, in Hamm NRW, germany or while i was visting either the north or east sea (Nordsee/Ostsee). Had it since I was a small child and was always fascinated by it but couldnt find out, what it is. Because I have it in my possession for about 15 years, i cant really tell much more about location or anthing else, just that it looks like an egg to me, but that might be what I want it to be. its about 6x3x2,5cm big, one side is almost flat with some dark spots and a crack i think going through it. the other side looks like an egg, but has a crater on it. Between the flat and the convex is a dark grey border around 1mm thick that goes around the whole thing.

Hello everyone, I found yall on google while trying to get info about this interesting rock I found in the Fossile Coast area of Oregon a few months ago. Photos are attached and here is some info about it... Found in flowing water at the extended base of a 300 foot waterfall,. Its the tallest in the state but I forgot its name. The surrounding rock was all black and dark shades of earth., mostly basalt. My find was the only stone of a light color i saw in vicinity, both in the water and on the trail. The surface is smooth, certainly been in water a loooong time, almost feels like porcelain. There are small details in the surface that are visible, but cannot be felt. Attached is a 360 view of the top and sides. I stood it up for seeing the side it rest on. The measure lines are millimeters, total of 40. Thanks for helping!

Found this a few days ago in a local creek that has Woodbine. When I picked this up it had an "echinoid sheen" to it. Also thought it was just a possible bi valve. Not so sure after looking at Turtle egg fossil or rather possible turtle egg fossils on Google.

Hello! This is my first post. I am on holiday in Devon and visited a beach at Lyme Regis yesterday where I found the item below embedded in a large rock. It measured around 5” long and 3” wide. The whole thing was almost ovoid in shape which made me think it was an egg or the top of a bone i.e. neck of femur. When I tried to remove it from the rock with a chisel I realised that it formed a veneer cover to the edges of the rock (visible in third and fifth photos) and pieces were slowly flaking off until the item split into two fragments which is what I am left with. Any help in identifying it is appreciated. Thank you and happy hunting!

While doing yard work, this rock caught my eye because it looked like it had fresh blood on it. I cleaned it up a bit, but there are about 5 or 6 holes with dark red dirt coming out of them. Could this be an egg? Thanks.

New to the forum and I've had this for about a year now and thought I'd toss it out there to see if anyone else finds it interesting. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of info on this. I found it at an estate sale and it was fairly low price so I thought I'd take a risk and grab it because I've never seen anything like it. Was told the owner originally got it in a shop in Utah and was told it was an egg. It had been in a fire (you can see scorch marks on the top, where there looks to be the spine) but pretty well intact. I don't see any obvious hard shell but I do notice flaking of what looks like sedimentary layers on the back side so I think it might be a concretion. Either way thought it was interesting and maybe I am just seeing things but one part sure looks like a rib cage

I'm looking at what is being called a dinosaur egg (actually a pteradactyl egg, which I think is incorrect as it is too big). The seller says it was found in southern Minnesota. The seller says it was found 14 years ago and at the time, two people at the museum of natural history said it was a pteradactyl egg and showed where the beak is curled around the ball section in the middle. She said it split naturally. In looking at it using the information I've found on the internet and at this site; I'm wondering if it is a concretion of mud around a foreign body. I really want this to be a fossil but.... Size 15cm x 7.5cm. Basically a somewhat flattened circle. Seller asked me to research since I said I was unsure it was what she thought it was. Thank you for your help.

This fossil was found by my grandfather, and I inherited it. In the 80’s someone at VT said it was a dinosaur egg, but I have nothing for proof. Any ideas? Thank you so much for all of the information you have provided!

I remember picking this up being with the MS Gem & Mineral Club in MS Central part years ago. I thought how interesting white on outside, red inside, could it be just a rock or an egg? I know you all will help me put this ? to rest. Thanks, Deb

Found on flat ground by itself in Dinosaur Park, southern Alberta. Approximately 5 cm long, 3 wide, and 1.5 thick. I’m really curious as to what this one is. Ask if you need more details

I believe this to be a fossilized egg of some kind. I found it in a deep hole of a local Creek that has a rock bottom while searching for Indian artifacts. I originally thought it was a game ball of sorts due to it being polished. Although I couldn't account for exterior material. I tossed it in one of my rock boxes and forgot about it until I saw it again today. I scratched at the material that partially covers the exterior and a piece flaked off leading me to think that it is not a game ball.
