If you don’t mind jawboning with me here, what do you think we’re looking at? I collected this from a gravel bar in on the outskirts of the woodbine, more eagleford but this easily could have traveled down the creek. Any help is appreciated! I can provide additional pics, I don’t know what I don’t know, and that includes what you need to see to give me the goods on my goods..lol I need to glue it, just washed it off even though I’ve had it for 2 weeks. Dallas County TX

I found this sticking out of a tall creek bank at water level, it doesn’t flake or leave residue like burned wood. Edge of woodbine and eagleford in far eastern Tarrant county. I’m guessing it’s petrified or at least very old? I appreciate in advance the confident explanations.

Hi all! I’ve had this sitting on my shelf for some time without knowing what type of bone it is. Reasonably confident it’s a dinosaur bone but not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! Measures 5 1/2 inches by 3 3/8 by 2 inches thick

I recently bought a small ceratopsian tail vertebra found in the Judith River Formation sold under the label "Centrosaurus". However, though many fossil dealers, including Fossil Era, sell teeth and bones under the centrosaurus label, I have read that centrosaurus has only been found in Canada. Are these fossils truly Centrosaurus or some other species. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm new to the world of fossil hunting, and I think I may have found something. Could someone help me ID this? I don't know if it even is a fossil. It looks like it could be a plant stem or something. It is long and tubular and branches off in places. I found it in a clay pit in the Deep River Basin of Chatham County, NC. The rocks here are said to be from the late Triassic. Any ideas?

Ok Super sleuth's, what do you think about this one? Bone?
TinySpiderMonkeyNinja posted a topic in Fossil ID
This is yet another strange looking rock/bone, from the decorative river rock around my pool. I tried to catch the best parts of the detailed areas, which to me resemble the porous look of a bone. What do ya'll think?- 6 replies

Found in Northwest North Dakota. Always thought it was a nut or seed. Now I'm thinking it's a shell after being schooled by this awesome fossil forum. Can anyone identify this fossil? It's about the size of a dime.
