Hello all. My daughter is very keen on fossils (via a love of dinosaurs!) and quite by chance found this amongst our driveway stones this morning… Is it a fossil? If so, does anyone have any idea what it might be? She would love to know. We’re in Wiltshire in the UK but the stones could have come from anywhere - they’re loose and were probably bought as a bulk load when the former owners redid our drive. Many thanks for any info!

We live in a part of Florida that is known to be the only very “hilly” part of the entire state. Which leads me to believe many years ago water filled these natural curves in the land. I often forage for animal bones of animals that have died of natural causes recently, and collect pretty rocks as a hobby. This one threw me for a loop.. bone like color and smoothness.. very circular holes as if something once occupied them.. but a rocky structure underneath. I was hoping for anyone to help me ID what this might be, whether that be a cast, a fossil, or a really neat rock. Was afraid to clean it up because I’m not sure of the ID yet. Thanks for all your help!

I dug this out of a creek bed in eastern Iowa about 9 years ago. I saw the top sticking out of the dirt. The creek bed was probably 20' down +/- a few feet. It was near another rock I dug out the same day that was just a 20lb rock of quartz. There's a couple spots that chipped off showing the white inside making me think it's just quartz. But the shape of it looks like a mushroomed bullet like it impacted the ground. I don't know a lot about how rocks are formed but I don't think quartz is ever pliable enough to form the way this thing did. A friend of mine saw it the other day and got really excited. He asked where I got the dinosaur vertebrae. I never thought about it being a vertebrae till then. When I Googled a dinosaur vertebrae it looks like it could be. I just hope I haven't been keeping a 30lb petrified turd in my living room for 9+ years. So if anyone has any ideas on what I have please feel free to let me know.

I found this in my yard. Well, where the horses stay. I live in Marana AZ, . (That's near Tucson.) Anyways, I was just hoping someone could help me identify it - or maybe I'm just crazy, and it's a piece of cement. I don't know, so that's why I'm here.

I found this rock on a recent trip to wyoming and took it home based on its aesthetic characteristics, I was looking for fossils on the trip, but in this case that wasn't the goal. I was cleaning the rock up today and noticed these very fossil like impressions in it, one round with a regular linear texture around a raised center and another regular lines. These seem too perfect and too regular to be geological, does anyone have any ideas? Wish I could tell where the rock came from, but since I wasn't expecting fossils out of it I did not note the location or formation I found it in. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. First two the suspected fossils can be seen near the center of the rock, third is just a picture of the general rock if that helps identify things. Thanks.

I am trying to find out if this herbivore tooth is fossilized or not, and what animal it is from. It was found on a sandy beach in Gloucester, MA. Any ID help would be appreciated. If it is old or fossilized, wouldn't it be more worn down? I'm not that familiar with horses, if that's what it is. Tooth is wet in one photo. Thanks in advance!

Much appreciation for any help I can get identifying. I am very new to this and am very curious. I inherited a ton of fossils and artifacts from my parents who died 11 hrs apart as a result of COVID 2 years ago this month. I would like to know more about what I've got.thanks in advance.

Looking to see if anyone thinks this might be something interesting. When I first saw it I thought perhaps it was the base to an Eospermatopteris but I think I may be a little too excited on this one. Found near Caanan, NY on a mountain in some dug up ground. Hoping it’s more than just a rock but it looks cool either way. I noticed there is some (fossilized??) lichen on it. The bottom is very flaky which adds to my skepticism about it being a fossil. Thanks to anyone that takes a look!

Wondering if anyone can tell me what this is… looks like a bone not sure if it is a fossil or not. Pieces fit together perfectly. Found near Canaan, NY.
