Hello everyone, quite a few years ago, I found the following "fossil?" but can´t remember if i found it in the Alps or at the Baltic sea, but probably at the second one. For me it looked like a fossilized Egg, so I kept it. For me the egg shell is clearly visible (also on the back) and also the "egg yolk" on the top. I couldn´t find anything similar on the Internet. Each space on the Background is 0.5 * 0.5 cm and the pictures show the object from above and the back. Can anyone help me identify it, should it really be an egg, age and animal would really interest me? Is it even a fossil or just some strange formed Mineral? Thank you in advance for everyone. I´m a complete amateur and every help is appreciated.

...The Island of Jersey, that is! Hello everybody, and thank you for allowing me to join your forum. As clueless as I am on the subject, I've always been fascinated by fossils since I found my first one as a youngster. In later years, as a teenager, I came across what I've always thought looked like a fossilised egg. It's sat on the shelf for years next to the fossil, and after a conversation with a friend about it the other day I decided it was about time to try and find out once and for all what it is exactly, so as part of the process of elimination, here I am! First question sorry, am I right in thinking I should start a different thread in an appropriate forum with any photos and questions? Again, thanks for having me, Chris
