Hi all New here, motivated by a recent find while walking in Kent, UK. Found this in a field. Is it a fossilized egg? That's my guess but no knowledge in this topic so could be wrong. Would love to know more about this find. It's about 1 inch in diameter and a third of an inch in cross section. Thanks!

HELP REQUEST connoisseurs. What is it? Is it a rock, a fossilized egg, a fossilized fruit?
CarlArthurKing posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hello everyone. I found this piece in one of my journeys to the Cali mountains (Farallones hillsides), in my country Colombia, South America. Please let me know what do you think it is. I thought it was a fossilized fruit, but it seems to have like a shell or so. I also want to know, -no matter what it is-, how can I preserve it the better possible way, so I can keep it safe for years to come. A big hug for you all. C.A.King Zapata- 2 replies

I am just an old guy that likes to collect fossilized shark teeth and turtle shells on our beach here in FL, but I found this "rock" on a recent trip to visit family. Although I assume it's not a dinosaur egg & probably just a rock, it's symmetry and similarity to fossilized egg images on the Web peaked my interest in finding someone who might really know! If you can identify what's in this image, or point me in the direction of someone who might know, I would greatly appreciate your help. Please let me know what you think!
