Hey all, Looking for input from all the wonderful people I've called upon in the past! I found this tooth in 2022 sifting at GMR. Upon first glance I thought it to be a small dolphin tooth but after digging it out of my collection recently I put it under a higher power magnifier and actually looked at it with attention. I'm starting to believe this maybe a mammal tooth or canine specifically. I've been to GMR many times and have found a distal bone of a mammoth and a hoof bone of an ancient peccary which was identified by the curator of prehistoric animals at the Indianapolis State Museum. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated so I can try to file and put away for safe keeping! Thanks all! Steve

Hey All! Found in GMR, NC yesterday during a 1 hour quick dip in the mucky water... (cold).... I've found lot's of whale bones here before but this looks different from anything I have found before... almost looks like a patella bone. I'll take whatever thoughts anyone has! Thanks!!!

Hello all, I'm headed to green mill run tomorrow for a fun day of collecting. My girlfriend and I usually sift right behind the green springs park, we have also tried the elm street bridge. Although we have found some awesome stuff at both locations, we are interested in trying some different locations. Does anyone have any suggestions or different locations for finding bigger fossils in the creek? Upstream? Downstream? Thanks for any help in advance!!
