Hello all. My buddy and I went to the NSR and Post Oak Creek this weekend. I was hoping someone could help me identify a couple of finds. The first is one was found on the bed of the NSR. It appears to be bone, but it is very heavy (perhaps from soaking up all the grey clay since it was embedded in the bed). The second was found at Post Oak Creek and appears to be bone, kind of like a finger type bone (digit). We also found some nice teeth and nice baculite. This is my first post about my finds, so any help would be much appreciated. I was also wondering if anyone could provide some advice on where to look for fossils at the NSR. This was my second trip in a month (or ever for that matter) and I am having a really hard time finding anything. The baculite is about the most identifiable thing I have found. Should you look on the bed, the cliff side (it's all grey!), mouth of creeks, the creeks themselves...? Thanks in advance. Glad to be a member.

Short NSR hunt due to a leaky boot. I did manage to find a nice size Mosasaur vert and a couple of coprolites with bone and shell in them.

Short hunt today. Pretty picked over area but I did manage to find a Mosasaur rib head, Ammonite pieces and a micro fossil bivalve in Limestone.

Here are the finds I've made so far at the North Sulphur River: From my trip on 3-23-14: I'm thinking the piece at top left is a little bit of mammoth tooth enamel. Next to it are 3 partial shells & what I believe is a broken Enchodus tooth. Along the bottom of the photo are Bits O' Baculite. From my 3-29-14 trip. I came away with a TON of broken baculites, most of which I left out of this photo. From left to right: Mosasaur vertebra (which was given to me by another hunter on the river that morning, when I was saying that I hadn't found any mosasaur parts yet. She had just found it under the bridge.), partial Enchodus tooth, one of the better baculites from that trip, and an unknown chunk of bone.

I do believe I found my greatest find. Ladonia, Texas NSR. Mosasaur Clidastes Liodontus? What is the smaller tooth in the jaw from? The Mosasaur or another ?

Fun North Sulphur River fossil hunt in the normally picked over area at Ladonia TX. My hunting buddy found some great items also.

I found these teeth a while back on the North Sulphur River. Another hunter at the river told me they were Enchodus, but I never had anyone take a really close look at them to confirm the ID. So, have at it, Fossil Forum Crew! Tooth 1: Tooth 2: EDIT because I'm a dingbat: Scale is in cm.

Can anyone help me with this? Thought it was corpalite, but then saw the joint-like shape....found in the ozan formation, north sulpher river, ladonia, tx

Found in the North Sulpher River, Ladonia, TX in river bed. Most similar fossils look to be Mosasaur vertebrae. Can you help me confirm or identify? Subject is 1.5 inches long. Ozan formation in Taylor shale.
