    Hello new guy

Hello, I'm and lineman by trade which gives me unique opportunity to go places most people don't get to. At the moment I'm in the high desert of Colorado trekking along a 450-mile-long new powerline being built, needless to say I've ran across several samples I believe might fit the bill as fossils. I'd appreciate any help identifying the things I've found. Im not looking to sell anything and will more than likely donate them to a local museum if that's what they are. I'd take them to a professional near me but working 7 days a week sort of ruins that ideal. Thanks to anyone who helps.

    Hello from Canada!

Hi everyone! I am from the prairies and grew up really close to a location where sea creatures where found and even convinced my family to go to drum heller for a summer vacation! My sisters where not impressed but for me it started the life long love of dinosaurs! After growing up a little I realized how competitive a paleontology career was going to be so I shifted my focus to the offshore oil and gas industry. I just take my dinosaurs in liquid form now! It was only in the last few years that I started to collect specimens from shows and personal finds. I am really looking forward to meeting more people from around the world who share my interests and who knows, maybe wouldn't mind a Canuck digging in their back yard

    North Texas New Member

Hello all here is a little about myself. Explored creeks, rivers and anything else in the outdoors since a kid. Sadly I am in the last generation to grow up like this. Trying to raise my kids right and bring them along on adventures as they grow up with no interweb and gizmos. Live west of Fort Worth Texas and there is still Native American artifacts to be found if you know where to look. Most found are archaic to paleo I believe. Very old. Way before pottery or the bow was invented. Still Pleistocene bones to be found also. Mostly extinct buffalo. Trying to save as many as possible until concreted/developed and lost forever. I am part time Taxidermist and donate much of my work to local nature centers and exhibits. My favorite quotes: ”Better to give than receive” ”Federal govt. says to native Americans “ “Give up your guns and we will take care of you” God Bless Texas and all who have good intentions. Bryan

    Hello

Hi everyone. I found this forum because not only because I have questions but because I have always been fascinated with finding and searching for odd things. My father used to call my EagleEye because I would find all kinds of stuff when I was a kid. Now years later I still find things but now at least there is a forum that I can ask questions as to what I might have found. I look forward to hearing your advice in future posts. Have a great day.

    new in New Jersey

Hello from New Jersey. Ive been collecting fossils for 20+ years have 3 kids , 2 of which have grown out of fossil collecting but I still have my last little guy who loves science so Ive got my fingers crossed that he'll still be collecting with me when he's grown. Hello I am from Taiwan

Hello everyone, I come from Taiwan .I just graduated from college. My apartment is architecture ,but I really like creatures. I was fascinated by the dinosaurs when I was a kid. Thanks to Jurassic Park and Walking with Dinosaurs series from BBC. As I grew up , I started to admire all living things in the world. But dinosaurs ,marine reptiles and sharks will always be my favorite. Last week while I was strolling around in a department store I found a fossil store. In there I bought 2 shark teeth. One is Megalodon the other one even the seller are not sure which species is this. So I try to find out, end up finding this website. And thanks to the members here . I know the other tooth belongs to Otodus shark. Since I have more free time now. I want to spend more time on my childhood hobby.

    The man in the mitten

Hello everyone, My name is Kyle. I am from the central Michigan area and very new to fossil hunting. I've always been interested in paleontology. As I got older the adults around me tried to tell me not to pursue it, but I just can't stay away. I joined the forum to have a solid community from which I can rely on when looking for information. For example, I'm constantly reading and I want to know what are the best books to read and learn terminology and hunting techniques. I want to know what are the best, yet reasonably priced, prep tools to use. I'm beyond excited to join you all here. Thank you

    New from Northeast Georgia!

Hello everyone. I'm Luke from northeast Georgia, Hall county to be more specific. Ive lurked a good bit and read a lot on this site and finally decided to join up. My wife and I are definitely beginners as far as fossil hunting go but look forward to the info. I metal detect and look for native american points as well and my wife is in love with the fossilized tooth side of the hobby. Most of the stuff we find is coastal. Looking forward to gaining more knowledge here and hopefully we have something to bring to the table. We are all still learning! Here are a few pics of some more recent finds.

    Hello

Hello everyone, I found this forum when searching google about hadrosaur eggs. I don't know much and I do know there are a lot of really good reproductions. I am joining this forum to learn more information for my kid. He is 5 years old and can name more dinosaurs than I can count. He has a couple teeth, and 2 trilobites starting his collection. I just purchased what is advertised as a hadrosaur egg, at this time I do not know if it is fake or real but once I get it I plan to figure out.

    New member

Hello. I am Chris and I am a new member. I do weekly trips to the Peace River and its tributaries when the water is low. I usually spend the day and have gotten pretty decent and hunting. I will be posting often especially on the fossil ID section because some of what I have I have not identified yet.

    Greetings From... Indiana?

Hello all. I'm glad to finally take the time to create a profile on the Forum. As I spend a good deal of the year jumping between Iowa, Indiana and Ohio, and take every opportunity to go "bug" hunting, I'll make a point to post on the forum when I go out to collect. Take care for now, everyone.
