Mosasaur Tooth -
North Sulphur River Texas was pretty picked over but I managed to find a nice variety. I found Mosasaur, Cretaceous Turtle, Ammonite, Enchodus / Shark Teeth, Ice Age Tooth, Rudists, Mastodon Tooth Enamel and one artifact in the creek. NSR needs a good rain.

Had a great day hunting the NSR with @Jakuzi and his gf. Thankfully the mud had mostly hardened, the sun was bright and the wind had a chill to it. Found some nice verts, two jaw sections and some fish pieces. I think the coolest find of the day belonged to Jakuzi with his globidens tooth crown. First time I've seen one in person on the NSR. Another item added to the ol' bucket list.

@Buffalo Bill Codyand I headed out to the North Sulphur River yesterday on a long muddy trip. We headed west from the 2675 bridge about 2 miles including a 20 minute hike along an expanse of river to get to what we hoped would be relitivly untouched gravel. That area of gravel proved to be the least productive of the entire trip. Luckily the gravel within a mile or so of the bridge proved more fruitful. We also had a wild boar siting to keep things exciting. I'm curious if anyone can ID the pieces in the top 2 rows. Also I'm very interested in an ID of the bone above the quarter. I'll post some close ups shortly. Are the strait pieces in third row tooth enamel? If anyone would like close ups of anything let me know.

The North Sulphur River is muddy and has not had a good flow in months but I decided to try it anyway. I found a few items and a really cool turtle back native american scraper. I walked a really long ways. lol

Hey TFF members, today was a muddy day on the Sulphur River. It was slow going but we ended up having a great day. I believe I found my first Mosasaur Vert and My first Point. Can anyone tell me more about this arrowhead? Any Confirmation would be appreciated. I found some other shark teeth and various things I'll try to post later.

Hi all I went out to the NSR today and found this small tooth. I am thinking that it is a small pterygoid tooth from a mosasaur but would like other's input. Thanks! Bret

It was a beautiful day for a long North Sulphur River hike. Very few finds for such a long walk but it was good to get out of the house. It will be good hunting again after a heavy rain.
