Are these fossils members of Francevillian biota?
GABRIEL.P posted a topic in Fossil IDIn a beach near Galaxidi, in Greece, i found some grey fossils on rocks with layers, just like the stromatolites. I believe that these fossils are members of Francevillian biota, witch includes the earliest multicellular organisms that was found in Gabon. These are the reasons that make me think that these fossils are from the Francevillian biota; 1.The fossils have got the same thickness with these that were found in Gabon; 6 mm. 2. In the past, one part of Eurasia (probably Greece) was next to Gabon in the Paleoproterozoic era, when the Francevillian biota appeared.

Microslides posted a topic in Micro-paleontologyHi to all you fossil guys, I’ve been dealing in and collecting antique microscope slides for many years, so I am familiar with viewing micro fossils and and fossil sections under the microscope, but the specimens on the slide seen in the attached image were a real eye-opener to me. I had no idea such incredible three-dimensional detail could be preserved, amber-like, in flint. My question is, is this type of preservation is common? The slide is the standard 3”x1” size. A location for the specimen is sadly lacking, but certainly somewhere in the UK. I look
