Hello and thank you for checking this out. I picked up this 2.7" tooth that supposedly comes from Oued Zem, Morocco. I know next to nothing about Mosasaurus teeth, but I wanted to see if a species could be assigned to it. Serrations?: Thank you!

i have been compiling an osteological analysis of this turtle skull unfortunately despite research i have no idea what species it is. due to poor cataloging when first discovered all that is known about the fossil is that it was found in Oued Zem morocco.

Hi there, I'm looking to add a pterosaur bone to my collection and I think I've found one, but would like confirmation from some of the more knowledgeable people on here, if possible . I'm told it is an Alcione sp. limb bone (nyctosaurid). 9.4 inches long. Bone looks hollow on the inside. Location is Oued Zem, Morocco - Ouled Abdoun Basin (Maastrichtian - Phosphate beds). Have you seen something similar? Is this a pterosaur ulna? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I currently have a friend in Morocco who recently found two teeth which he believes are the front dentary teeth of Carinodens which by itself are extremely rare but this tooth position especially. After doing some research I agree with my friend in Morocco about the ID to which he came to. But due to their rarity they are pretty pricey and because of that I wanted to have a second opinion just to be sure. Thank you all in advance! @jnoun11 @pachy-pleuro-whatnot-odon Care to chime in?

Prognathodon anceps vs. Prognathodon giganteus: What is the difference?

I have been reading up on Moroccan mosasaurs and one point of confusion that I have run into is differentiating teeth from Prognathodon anceps and Prognathodon giganteus. There seems to be a great deal of overlap in their descriptions and occasional contradictions in the scientific literature. The first issue I’ve noticed is that there seems to be a great deal of confusion over what to even call the two species. Was purchased as an Elasmosaurus vertabrae from Morocco 5.91" x 6.19" I found one similar online but the one I acquired seems to be a little more on the flat side. One of the processes has been repaired and seems to be stabilized. If it is indeed from an Elasmosaur, could it just be from a different section of the spine and is why it has a flatter profile? If so, what section could it be from? I'm just trying to get all the information on it that I can. The last three pics will be of the one I found online. Thank you in advance!

Here is another jaw. It is offered as Halisaurus and is reportedly from Oued Zem of Morocco. It is 10.2" in length. Jaws are a common inquiry here and several members are frequently kind enough to give their experienced opinion of the posted fossils. I would find it interesting and perhaps instructive to the general Forum; if experienced respondents would provide as much detail as they can as to how they formulate their opinion (e.g. common responses such as "teeth may be added," "matrix is not original, etc.") The question I am posing is how are these opinions reached? Hello, i am a Student from Germany. I have recieved the Task of analyzing the huge fossil Collection of my School, which includes this tooth. According to a profile (that appears to have been made by a fifth or sixt-grader), it is from Oued-Zem / Khouribgha, morocco. My best guess is that it is from Prognathodon. It is about 2,5 to 3 cm Long and 1 cm thick. Many thanks in Advance!!!
