I found this on a sandy river bank on the Trinity River near Liberty Texas. I have previously found a number of teeth and leg bones from pleistocene horses in the same area. This is a fascinating little piece but I have no idea as to its identity. Maybe an inner ear bone? Any help would be appreciated. Maybe it is just a piece of wood, there are a lot of pieces of petrified wood here, but I don't think so. Thanks, Craig
