Permian prints from NE NM
JBkansas posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
These were both labeled as Dromopus "Marsh" (seller mistook discoverer name for species). While the larger prints do seem to look like Dromopus to my amature eye, the smaller print may be something else. Both were consolidated with Elmer's glue (explaining the glossy appearance).- 13 replies

Hello everyone! ive got three slabs of prints created by an unknown prehistoric animal (if it’s even created by an animal) that had been in my collection for quite some time now. Since I’m on the forum and still requires a proper identification for it any identification help from ichnofossil experts are much appreciated! Here are some pictures of the fossils but since the prints might not be that clearly seen I uploaded some other pictures highlighting the “lumps” or the pattern made by the print. Hope that helps.

Just inquiring whether these are some kind of fossil print or just natural erosion. I believe it was a lake find in Northeast OH or river find in Southwest IL. If fossil, what from? Thank you!

A trio of Grallator prints from France
FF7_Yuffie posted a topic in Is It Real? How to Recognize Fossil Fabrications
I have been offered these three prints, for a decent price each---I'd quite like to add a French Grallator to my collection, so if someone can have a look, that would be great. All are Jurassic age, found in Sauclieres, France. First two photos == A concave one, matrix is 16cm by 16 cm . A concave one is my preferred choice. Next two photos == A convex fossil, slab is 14 x 18 cm. Final photo = Another convex, 19 x 17cm matrix. If someone can take a look at let me know what you think, that would be much appreciated. -
Hi, what's the thought on these? Highlighted, as common. But seller says it comes off easy and kncluded some non highlighted pics too. From Connecticut River Valley.
