Hi all, I found an odd, almost perfectly round ball in the desert. At first I thought it was an old ball bearing, but it's not metal. Maybe a coprolite? Or just an average rock that happens to be round... It's 15mm in diameter, found in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. I've found other fossils in the area including petrified wood and brachiopods. Thanks for any assistance, Tekk

I don't have much to tell about where this rock was found. It's been in a stash of collected rocks for a while. But I'm curious if anyone has any ideas what it could be. My impression is fossilized wood, but I have no idea what the white band is. There is what appears to be a rusty nail of sorts embedded in it through the darker area and then into the white area. Any ideas?

I was on the Oregon coast near Newport and found this really odd looking rock. I've scoured the internet and have seen nothing like it. Even the Google image search feature came up with nothing. Help!!!

Seller says this is from Morrison formation but not sure what this is or if its even something I just consider purchasing.

This rock is full of crystals that catch the light. It could've been a seashell that left this imprint, but I have to wonder if there is more than meets the eye. Any ideas? Please have a look..

An oyster shaped rock with a band of glitter all the way around the middle
