From the album: Purchased Trilobites of Isotelus2883
Probably from the Aseri/Asery of the St. Petersburg region. There was not a lot of information given, but it was a quite aesthetically pleasing specimen.-

Hello, I bought this trilobite today for a very reasonable price, but it didn’t come with a species or genus label so I was wondering if I could have some help identifying. It does say it’s from Russia, and is from 450 Ma. I was thinking Asaphus lepidurus but I’m not sure.

Plate Of 4 Russian Trilobites & Cystoid - Need Help With Id
hollywatertower posted a topic in Fossil ID
I just purchased a large collection of fossils & need some help identifying this plate of trilobites; I'm a total novice when it comes to fossils; if you ever need help with Roman antiquities, I'm your man; but with fossils, I'm a total ignoramus. Here are some pics. I'm probably ok with the cystoid; but I can use all the help I can get! Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! -
I Need Help Determining % Of Repair On This Plate Of Russian Trilobites
hollywatertower posted a topic in Fossil ID
Thanks to piranha, I believe these bugs are Asaphus Punctatus. Now I'm trying to determine the % of repair. I photographed them while under UV light. They look pretty good to me. Just guessing, I'd say about 5% (total guess). I'd greatly appreciate any opinions on the % of repair (or on any other matters)! The cystoid was definitely added to the plate. I'm a total novice when it comes to fossils. I bought a large collection and am learning as I go. Thanks in advance!!- 8 replies
