I need help 2 give an id 2 this fossil it is from The Mississippian age found in Harrodsburg Limestone Formation Washington County, Indiana On the tag is saying it is Orodus which wasn’t around at that time and wasn’t a Hybodont Someone Who works with lots of Carboniferous fossils said it could be a Saivodus root(maybe upside down) what do you think. The root/tooth is about 0.75 cm in size what do you think ? The bottom picture is a fossil of a Saivodus

Hi! I just wanted to show off my best fossil hunting finds so far, I hope that's ok! I've identified them from left to right as extinct tiger-like shark tooth, snaggletooth shark tooth, tiger shark tooth, sevengill cow shark tooth, stingray barb, and pufferfish mouth plate I also included a tooth from a previous trip (second from the left) just to show why I'm so proud of these

Hi everyone, I just ordered this beautifull shark fossil from Lebanon, I saw it passing by on the webshop of one of my favorite fossil dealers and it was love at first sight! Just had to get this when I saw it, really love the preservation on it. The shark was found in Hajula, Byblos, Lebanon and is from the Cretaceous, Cenomanian (98 mya). I was only hoping if someone could tell me which species it might belong to. I am pretty sure it's some kind of catshark or carpetshark, but it turns out there are multiple of these in the Lebanon deposits like Pararhinchodon, Scyliorhinus elongatus and Paratriakis curtirostris. Also the shark measures, 12 inches / 30,50 cm So any help would be welcome! Thank you in advance!

We found these teeth in Malta where fossils are quite rare. This is my first find so its quite exiting to know what they are. After some research I have a feeling they are Megalodon but I would like someone to confirm my conclusion. I am able to post some more pics if required. Thanks in advance Jezz

Kurufossils posted a topic in Member Collections
Hello everyone, I'd like to share my extreme budget collection of megs for the US as requested, I've have been collecting shark teeth and other for a little over a year and a half now on a budget and have been surprised by what I was able to get a hold of so far. Condition doesn't bother me hence the budget but I have been able to find some megs from from interesting locations over the short period of time I've been collecting with a little bit of luck. I estimate I spent no more than $1,100 in total for this small collection. Tag me if there's any teeth you'd like to take a closer look at. In order: 1) Ace Basin, Ashepoo River SC 2) Lee Creek, Aurora, NC 3) Ocean teeth likely from offshore SC 4) Georgia??? 5) 7 inch+ meg fragment likely from offshore SC 6) Virginia Red Site (repaired) 7) Georgia??? 8) Virginia 9) St. Mary's??? 10) Georgia??? (repaired) 11) Summerville 12) Ocean teeth likely from offshore SC 13) St. Mary's Last photo: 6inch+ Calvert Cliffs, Maryland (restored) I'll do bone valleys for part 3 sometime soon! @ynot @WhodamanHD @snolly50 @sixgill pete- 11 replies

Hey, I bought this jaw quite a while ago now. I bought it from eBay and it was titled as just 'Shark Jaw'. I messaged the seller after i bought it and he said he doesn't know what it is but he thinks it could be a Whitecap Reef Shark jaw. I took his word for it and assumed that it what it is. But recently i've been paying more attention to identification of Shark Jaws and I'm having my doubts on whether this is actually a Whitetip reef shark. It measures around 10" wide. What do you think it could be? I've attached a photo of the Jaw itself and two additional photos of the top row of teeth and bottom row of teeth. (obviously the top row is the triangular shaped teeth) Any thoughts on this are greatly welcomed.
