Hey all, when I went to Matoaka a few visits ago, my friend found a killer tooth. Gonna upload the photos she sent me here so someone can hopefully ID it for her. Thank you for looking!

Coolest fossil I've seen as part of a building material
Jared C posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
Today I noticed a decorative ammonite built into a limestone wall of a bathroom at champion park here in round rock - while cool on its own, it's when I walked up to it to look closer that I saw a neat little detail. On the surface of the ammonite, there's a little blade of a shark tooth - not so big that it's its own feature, but I find it unlikely that a collector would've yielded such a nifty little dual fossil if they knew it would go on a public bathroom wall. So, I think this little tooth probably wasn't noticed at first. ...this little observation gave me copious amounts of dopamine- 3 replies

Little blue-black shark tooth from Matoaka Beach in Maryland. I'd like an ID or two, please!
Mara_Masina posted a topic in Fossil ID
Hey all! My most recent excursion went pretty well. This is one of my favorite finds despite the size of it, but I can't find any good pictures to compare it to. The root is rather large but damage to it complicates IDing when you're as greenhorn as I am haha. Any ideas?- 12 replies

Both of these from Eagle Ford Post Oak creek matrix, I didn't even recognize the tooth on first look, not sure ID is possible but curious is it very worn or just emerging or what? The other item looks like it should be something but may be ironstone, just not sure.

This fossil shark tooth is from a bulk fossil shark tooth purchase. It was probably the most complete tooth and I took note of it because of it's cusps. It is Late Cretaceous to Eocene in age from the Oulad Abdoun Basin, Morocco.

Hello, Sometimes I collect shells from the beach and the other day I found the one in these pictures. My friend thinks it may be a shark tooth but it looks unlike other shark teeth I've seen. If you have any idea what it may be please let me know! Thank you.

Some of y'all my know that I have not have much luck finding shark teeth in/around my hometown of Austin. I know they are there...I have seen lots of pics of them having been found! And I know people who have found them! (You know who you are....hahhaha!) But I myself do not seem to have the juju for finding them when out hunting! That's not to say I haven't found any in Texas, because I have, just not in my creek hunting in Austin. So, I was super happy to come across this pretty little thing while going through some matrix I brought home from one of the creeks. It's tiny! 5mm. I think it's a Scapanorphynchus but would like confirmation on that. It's skewed to one side.

Hi Folks, Been a reader of these boards for a long time and appreciate all of the great info shared here. I found this tooth at Topsail beach in NC this past summer and was hoping for some help with the ID. It not in great shape but leaning towards one of the extinct white sharks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
