So i found this Ammonite few months ago. I want to prep it but there is some factors that made me think its quite hard/impossible with the tools that I have right now The first thing is how sticky is the matrix (I dont know if you can see in the image) but the matrix is really sticky and thick in some places. The second thing is the size of the specimen, and its not even complete. Thats the principal thing that made me want to prep it, but I dont know if is possible I have the Dremel 290 with the Zoic tips

Try not to laugh, but I have a couple of items ( I say items because they have not been identified yet so I have no clue if they are rocks or actual fossils) that have been scrubbed with Dawn and a toothbrush and left to dry. Today I was cleaning some others and went to move some I cleaned the day before, and noticed with my hands wet but clean that some actually felt like they were sticky? Just about to the point of holding it’s self vertical from my finger. If my hands were dry…. These feel and act like any of the others laying there. Does this indicate anything other than strange that is. Thank you

Soo I've been digging and finding bone in different areas along w buried deep charcoal and or black thin stone. Most rocks I let sit on a shelf but this one has been bugging me and has me stumped and YES I LICKED IT gross and it was slightly sticky. I've honestly not a clue and the pattern on parts of it has truly just thrown me for a loop. Any help appreciated. USA/VA
