Hey all, new to fossils and Fossil Forum. I was looking to buy a suchomimus tooth and was wondering if I could get some input on this one I was looking at. According to the seller it is from Elrhaz Formation of Niger. From my own research, serrations look right for a suchomimus tooth. Since I am an amateur I'd appreciate input from others though. below are pictures of the tooth by the seller. Thanks yall

I was given these teeth by a friend many many years ago and they were identified as plesiosaur teeth. They are from Niger, Africa. I looked and found no record of plesiosaurs ever being found in Niger. I also did a bit of compairing with other plesiosaur teeth and found no match. One of them looks to me to be from a suchomimus or some other spinosaur (judging by the grooves on the tooth). The other two look to be from some sort of crocodyloform, possibly stolokrosuchus.

Together is the price 140 euro / 150 US dollar + shipping (Paypal is preferred) Suchomimus: - Length: 0.84 inch - 21.3 mm - Location: Elrhaz Formation, Gadoufaoua, Niger, 112 million years, Albian, Cretaceous - Description: This Suchomimus tooth has noticeable ridges and good brown discoloration. These smaller Suchomimus teeth would make a great addition as although small they are in very good condition. Spinosauridae: - Length: 2.50 inch 63.5 mm - Location: Kem Kem beds, Begga, Morocco, 96 million years, Cenomanian, Cretaceous - Description: This Spinosaurus tooth is a decent size and has a great glaze. It would be a good addition to any dinosaur collection. Both fossils have been consolidated with paraloid b72, to preserve them for future generations, as is standard procedure in all museums. No repairs or restorations to this fossils.

Interesting little tooth below with some nice detail. I think I can spot serrations in one of his pics unless my eyes are playing tricks! Unfortunately seller hasn't provided pics of the base of the tooth. The seller titled it as a juvenile spinosaur tooth (and in the description is suchomimus) and they mention that it's from Kem Kem however Suchomimus isn't described from Morocco but rather Niger. Some confusing location info from the seller and is perhaps a mix up by the seller which I see happen so often. Suchomimus tenerensis From the Cretaceous Albian / Cenomanian, Tegana Formation. Collected from Hamada gu Guir, Kem Kem Basin, Morocco. Sellers says that they have described this as a juvenile as there is very little wear on the tooth and would have been from the front of the mouth due to the curved shape. Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!
