  1. Hi everyone, I was surprised to find a few nice mongolian fossils availables for sale on a well-known website (I dont know if it is allowed to give the name of the website here). including a protoceratops skull and a tarbosaur toe with claw. I am very surpised that they take the chance to put that for sale on theyr website (especially since I think that it is a us seller) and I was wondering if everything has changed regarding the fossil legislation in Mongolia...
  2. Hey, I would like to trade my rare 3,5cm Pararodus Benedini shark tooth. I would want to trade it for a vertebrate fossils (teeth?) or trilobites? I would also prefer a trader from Europe because I live in Europe and the shipping is more expensive ( If a trader outside Europe is willing to pay a little shipping 10-20$ he can) Here are some pictures of the tooth (It is from Antwerp,Belgium) If you are intrrested,PM me. Much appreciate it, Thomas
  3. Hello everyone, I have decided a while ago that I would focus on collecting Paleozoic material, because of this there are quite a few fossils I have that I purchased a long time ago and do not have an interest in keeping, these guys are not that special and I am not looking for much of anyone even does want to trade with me, but I do prefer Paleozoic material. I will post what I have here. 1.Lebanese shrimp fossil Cretaceous GONE/TRADED 2. Geocoma carinata I believe from the Solnhofen 3. Chunkosaurus 4.some cretaceous teeth, spinosaurus, Squalicorax, scapanorynchus, enchodus 5. Some gastropods 6.otodus obliquus Morocco eocene
  4. Here is an ammonite which I found at Port Mulgrave on the Yorkshire Coast in 2017. This is Jurassic aged. My ammonite knowledge is not great, but I think this is Dactylioceras commune. These are very abundant on the Yorkshire coast, so I don’t expect anything uncommon for this. Anything is of interest, especially things which are abundant in your collecting area but not often seen for sale online in the UK, for example Mazon creek Jellyfish. I mainly collect Carboniferous fossils, but I will consider fossils of all ages. Thanks, Daniel
  5. I was in Graf…. for Ordovician Maquoketa shale! Not really, I found it in my mailbox thanks to Mike.
  6. This trilobite would be around 7" if prone. It had poor restoration done to it which I removed as best I could. There may be one or two small patches of restoration that I missed. In exchange for this trilobite I'm interested in all offers, especially high quality complete fossil fish, other high quality trilobites, and medium to big European Ammonites.
  7. I have had this drotops for a while. It measures over 5.5" long by 3 inches wide. I have looked very careful for repair and the only place it looks like it might have it is a band between the eyes and the tip of the nose. I cannot tell if it is bad prep work or repair. In exchange for this trilobite I'm interested in all offers, especially high quality complete fossil fish, other high quality trilobites, and medium to big European Ammonites.
  8. I am super lucky to live in Central Texas where some fossils are amazingly abundant. What is in your area that you find enough of to consider trading for other areas abundance? If you are interested, I propose a trade of abundance! I will send one of each of these Cretaceous Era fossils in trade for whatever you might have! And anyone is welcome to participate in the trades! This is not just for me, y'all! I have: Ilymatogyria (Ram's Horn Oysters), Heart Urchin, Porocystis Globularis (Algae Fruit), and Tylostoma Gastropods.
  9. Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any Megalodon teeth from exotic locations they would be willing to let go of for trade. I'm also interested in other species of shark teeth/fossils from rare locations. Regards, Indominus Rex.
  10. Is anybody interested in a straight up swap, some of your matrix for some of mine? Mine's from Abbey Wood, Kent, England. Eocene shark beds, so 54MYA shark, Ray, pike, occasional turtle, croc and very rarely (although I’ve found a few pieces) mammal. It’s been wet sieved, dried out, and totally unsearched! I'm not interested in any money crossing hands, just matrix for matrix. Apparently my photos are too large to be uploaded but can email photos of my finds and the matrix. Let me know if you’re interested
  11. Hey everyone, This is a long shot......I am a fan of the history of paleontology. I love when science changes over time due to more observation and knowledge. Greenops boothi and phacops rana used to be the standard names for many New York trilobites. They are now split up into Eldredgeops rana and greenops grabaui, greenops barberi and a whole new Bellacartwrightia (spelling may be off sorry) genus. I plan on going and collecting my own greenops boothi someday as I know the locality location described in literature. However the original Phacops rana is from Europe and is now called Phacops latifrons (if I’m not mistaken) and I have no way of obtaining a specimen and I don’t know if they are even available. I would love to own a piece of history if anyone has specimens of the European Phacops latifrons I have lots to trade . Thanks Al
  12. Hello everyone, I have noticed that I have almost no fossils from the Carboniferous period and would really love to add some to my collection. I have decided to start out with the Mazon creek as it had many fascinating inhabitants. I am interested in pretty much everything from there and am not looking for anything spectacular. For what I have, there are Thalassina anomala mud lobsters from Australia, Devonian fossils from New York such as trilos and brachiopods, Jurassic Ostracods from CT, a few echinoids and probably other things too.

  14. Hi I was wondering if any body has some theropod fossils they would like to trade ( majungasaurus, allosaurus, T. Rex ex: ) I have a lot of fossils I am willing to trade I will send you some photos later on thanks.
  15. Hello everyone. I am looking for Silurian to Devonian fossils, preferably vertebrates and especially placoderms or trilobites. I am willing to trade shark teeth like Megalodons etc.... I also have ammonites and 2 crocodile teeth from Kem Kem, and a nice serrated Abelisaurid indet tooth. Some nice Kem Kem material as well. PM me if you are interested and I will send you photos of what I am offering to trade. (P.S. I am not looking for anything amazing as what I am offering is not amazing, I am looking for something of about the same value.) Best regards, indominus rex
  16. Hey, all! I have a surplus of Upper Ordovician (Cincinnattian series) and Silurian fossils from the Dayton area. Fossils include diverse brachiopods, horn corals, orthoconic nautiloids, and bryozoans as well as trilobite fragments. Would anyone like to trade for these fossils? If there's anything in particular that you'd like from the area that I don't already have in my collection, then I may be able to go search for it before the trade, too. If anyone expresses interest, then I'll upload images of said fossils in the next few days. Let me know!

    Wanted: Sauropod Teeth

Hi All, I am looking for sauropod teeth. Madagascan teeth at the top of my list but am interested in all sauropods. I would be interested in Rabbachisaurus teeth but they would need to be in exceptional condition. I have a lot of teeth I would be willing to trade, too many to list. If you have something you would like to trade please let me know and what type of tooth you would be looking for in return. Thank you, Randy
  18. Hey everyone, I'm looking to obtain a great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) tooth by trade. These are the requirements I have: complete decent preservation (so not very badly worn) accurate location info accurate formation + age info size, position or color don't really matter to me. I'm not looking for an impressive display piece! It doesn't have to be big or very colorful or whatsoever, just a decent complete tooth. One tooth will do, so I probably won't entertain many offers after the first one, but if I haven't announced (on this thread) that a deal is made I am probably still looking. If you also have any fossil shells you want to get rid of, we can definitely include those in the deal! In exchange I have a wide array of different stuff to offer, especially in the inverts, so just tell me what interests you and I'll see what I can offer via PM if I'm interested in your tooth. Don't expect a meg or dinosaur tooth in exchange though, as I'm not looking for a super valuable gw tooth either. It will be a smaller-scale trade Take in mind that you'll have to pay shipping to the Netherlands, so check your shipping prices first! Thanks in advance! Max
  19. Hi guys. I'm looking forward to do this trade.I'm offering partial Mammoth tooth from Serbia, possibly Mammuthus primigenius tooth.I'm looking for some Miocene,Pliocene or Pleistocene mammal teeth.Let me know if someone is interested. Darko
  20. Hi everyone! It has been a while since i have been here.Mostly i have a lot of things around the Faculty to do, so i didn't have much time for fossils sadly. I want to ask if anyone is maybe maybe interested in some of my drawings? I would like to hear ya! I started collecting Pleistocene fossils, mostly mammal teeth ,so i'm looking for that. As you know, i am doing all kinds of prehistoric animals and also modern ones. If anyone is interested, let me know via PM Regards, Darko
  21. Here are some fossils which I would like to trade for upper Carboniferous fossils. I am interested in anything from the upper Carboniferous, but would also consider fossils from the Lower Carboniferous. If you have anything to trade, please let me know. I have many other fossils to trade which aren’t shown in the pictures, so if there are any fossil types you would like, please let me know and I will let you know if I have any of that fossil type to trade. Thanks, Daniel 1. Archosaur tooth, Triassic, Penarth, Wales. This may be from a Theropod dinosaur. If it is indeed from a Theropod, it is rather rare. 2. This is probably the best coral I have ever found. It is Carboniferous age, and was found on the Holderness coast, England. 3. Unidentified sp, Cretaceous, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, Uk 4. Dinosaur/reptile bone, Cretaceous, Yaverland, Isle of Wight, UK 5. Megalodon tooth- North/South Carolina
  22. I figured I would give it a try. You all know I love my sharkteeth. There are two that I really would like to get my hands on. Otodus obliquus and a Palaeocarcharodon orientalis. I am looking for these teeth from any U.S. locations such as Purse state park or Douglas Point. I am not looking for big teeth or perfect but preferably something of good quality. If anyone out there has extras and doesn't mind letting go of one please contact me. Maybe we could make a deal. I have mostly other sharkteeth for trade but have other items as well. Dave
  23. A while back, I received a package from our good friend Adam, better known as @Tidgy's Dad. In said package was a small plastic dinosaur that had apparently been gifted to him by none other than @JohnBrewer. This means that this little fella had started his journey in England, made his way to Morocco, and had since travelled to the United States. It was decided after careful consideration that his name was to be Gorgeous George the Globetrotting Gorgosaurus. Now he is traveling the globe spreading joy and cheer to members of TFF! If you are fortunate enough to play host to Gorgeous George, here are the rules: 1. George must be photographed in his host's collection. 2. He must then be sent to an unsuspecting TFF-er along with any trade. (You can't notify the recipient that they are getting him, he must be an unannounced visitor!) 3. He should be accompanied by a note in case the recipient is not familiar with proper Globetrotting Gorgosaurus procedure. 4. In order to increase the odds of surprising his new host, his visit photo should be uploaded only AFTER he has been received at his new temporary home. *NOTE: The hope is that in addition to having fun, this will also give members the chance to share their collections and have their prizes be seen. That being said, he must be photographed with his host collection. This does not mean that he cannot also take field trips to collecting sites and other landmarks and be photographed there as well! (Thank you to @DPS Ammonite for the suggestions!) Let's see how many miles we can put on this little plastic dino! Don't forget to have fun!

    Fossils for trade

Different fossils available for exchange. I'm looking in return for any kind of fossil that I do not already have in my collection.
  25. Hey guys. I recently was thinking I have been collecting more shark teeth than dinosaur teeth and that my dinosaur teeth collection was quite poor. I would be looking to get some of the basic amateur dinosaur teeth from the USA such as Archeroraptor, Nanotyrannus,... I would be looking for quality, not size, so I would be interested in any teeth, even minuscule ones but good quality. Not really looking for partials. Also Interested in having my first dinosaur claw. I was wondering if any dinosaur collector who has these teeth would be interested in a trade, either for rare shark teeth, trilobite fossils or Dino material I have. I would also buy from them but mostly interested in a trade since I have a pretty low budget. If you are interested or have any questions or suggestions, please PM me! Thanks a lot and kind regards.
