So I found the very interesting specimen. I actually know what it is but am not going to give up the name yet. I want to see if some of you know what it is and where it may have come from. I know a few may know what it is right off. It is almost 2 feet in diameter. If you do know what it is right off please hold off your answer for a little while to give others the chance to guess.

One of my finds today in north LA looks like bone but the round top is suspicious. Either way it's cool looking! Anyone seen anything like this?

I found the pictured fossil on the Potomac River at Westmoreland. It is broken & worn, which makes me question what this is. Can anyone verify whether or not this is in Megalodon or another type of shark tooth? Are their features of this piece that makes anyone think one way or another? Thanks!

Found this rock that appears to be shale. It also seems to have a fossil in it. It was found in southern Nevada. What is it?

I found this imprint on a walk a few days ago. It's common to find brachiopads, shells, and other such objects in this area, but this fossil is a bit different...maybe it's not, I'm not sure...any help would be greatly appreciated. New York State, Southern Tier, Chemung County

Found in shallow-water delta top sandstone of the Lackagh sandstone formation in Ireland. Sandstone in this place overlies arnsbergian regional stage formation of namurian stage. Stump imprints usually surrounded by quartz and quartzite pebbles which suggests flooding. Can you help me identify the plant/ plants?

Can Ya'll Help Me With This? Is It A Fossil Or A Rock?
FlyingBaldini posted a topic in General Fossil Discussion
Hi guys, I found this along with my grandfather's rock collection a few years ago. I can't tell you where it is from because The Old Man isn't around to ask. But if you guys could help me find out what this may be. It is shaped much like a tooth, about 5 1/2 inch long and about 3 inches across at the top and about a 1/2 inch at the tip. I'm not very educated about these things, so all thoughts and information/questions you may have will be helpful. ThanksIn Advance, FlyingBaldini -
