Hi, Absolute beginner here. Recently moved to Eagle Pass, TX right on the border in south Texas. Noticed some sandstone slabs dug up at a construction site next door. Started poking around the area looking for fossils. Looked at some geo surveys and found this: "Cretaceous coal-bearing units in the Sabinas folded belt include the Upper Cretaceous Olmos and San Miguel Formations. Rocks in the western part of the map area are Jurassic and Cretaceous marine limestone, sandstone, siltstone, shale, and marl, and minor gypsum and anhydrite." Some photos attached. Any information or hints appreciated. Meanwhile, I'll educate myself as much as possible from info on this forum. Thanks so much, Craig Hyatt Eagle Pass, TX USA
