Hi. I found this rock in a southeast Michigan field where I find a lot of coral fossil. I can't figure out if this is a rock chunk or a fossil. Any help would be much appreciated.

This rock has brown circles on it that look like the scales on a pineapple. The brown circles run all the way through the rock and are visible on the other side. I also found a rock with a miniature cave in it. I don't understand how that cave in the rock formed. I found these in an icy creek in northwest Illinois in the states. Help is appreciated. Thanks

Hey guys, I've got a couple of things here that I suspect are probably geofacts, but just wanted to see what others thought. Both of these items were found in the Mojave Desert, southern CA, near the NV border. The texture on this one was unusual, smooth but with slight ridges on one side; in a way it almost seems like bone (or maybe wood?) - but then the other side was rather flat... I picked up this one at first thinking it might have been an artifact (i.e. a stone biface). Smooth sedimentary rock with unusual dimensions. I've found several of similar shape in the area. I thought maybe mollusk shells had filled up with sediment, then worn away, leaving a cast. There does appear to be remains of a different type of mineral on the outside. Thanks! Zach
