I found this concretion 2 or 3 years ago as float on the beach. I assume is weathered out of the Twin River Formation, which I have also seen called the Twin River group (consisting of Makah, hoko and physt formations), which is marine sediment dating to upper eocene to lower miocene. I have always thought it looked like a vertebra, but I have no idea from what. It's hard to tell from the photo, but there is a small, darker bump in the middle of the last shot. I wonder if that might be where the vertical (spinous) process was? Pictures are front, back, top and bottom (although I honestly don't which is which). It measures about 8cm end to end. As always, thanks for the help.

This specimen is about 16cm in length from Guizhou in Triassic formation. Any idea if it's a primitive agnathan?
