  1. Hey guys, I saw this listed as a oviraptor egg, seller claims to have taken it to a museum to have it examined. This looks a little different from other oviraptor eggs I have seen and I don’t really see signs of embryo. I would appreciate any input on it. It was found in Texas
  2. Hello, I’m a beginner of collecting trilobites fossils, and I have bought one recently but seems it’s a fake trilobites. Can you guys help me plz. Thanks!
  3. Hi, Just curious of everyone's thoughts on this Oviraptor Egg? Locality : East Asia (Cretaceous) Species : Elongatoolithidae That's about all the information I have from the seller along with some pictures. He states that the egg is 100% genuine and if proven otherwise there will be a full refund. Some glue was used to stabilize the shell. Thanks E1.bmp e2.bmp e3.bmp e4.bmp

  9. Hey everyone, I just got this beautiful cave bear jaw and I was wondering if it is real. It was found in Romania. Three of the teeth are a bit loose from the jaw and one of them can actually be removed. The tooth that can be removed is hollow. It looks like a juvenile due to the fact that not all of the teeth have grown in yet. Do you think it’s authentic? Thanks!
  10. Real or Fake? Crinoid

Hello, we asked some of our friends to see if they could find us a nice fossil overseas. It was meant as a surprise for me from my parents, so we couldn't see the fossil beforehand. First of all, they say the fossil is "painted" to bring out its features, this already sounds very fishy. Secondly, the rock it is on looks like an igneous rock, I thought the fossil baring rocks where supposed to be sedimentary. They took the fossil to different stores to verify its authenticity, but few people said it looked fake. I would like to know because it was quite expensive for an ameture fossil collector, and especially for a fake! If it is real, which is doubtable, then is there any way to remove the paint?

  16. I was wondering if anyone here can tell me if this is legitimate or not? The seller says it's a museum quality piece, but after looking at it and the back I question. It almost sounds hollow when I knock on it. Would love any feedback, trying to build up my collection and thought this was a very nice looking fossil, but I know very little.
