NASA's Mars Rover INSIGHT to Land on Mars Today
DeepTimeIsotopes posted a topic in Members' News & Diversions
Today at around 3pm EST, NASA's Mars Rover, INSIGHT, will be landing on Mars. This probe is designed to study the interior of Mars using seismological data it will gather. It will land in a very flat plain called Elysium Planitia. There it will drill a hole ~16 feet (~5 meters) down to insert a seismometer which will record seismic movements in Mars's interior.
