  1. Upcoming Washington trip

Hello all, I'm going to be in Olympia at the end of July for a wedding and I was hoping to get out and look for a couple crab concretions while I was up there. Would anyone be able to give me some pointers on where to look, or be willing to meet up for a hunt while I'm up there?
  2. Tucson Fossil Show 2018

I'm starting to plan a trip to the Tucson Fossil Show in February. (This will be my first time there.) I've only got a couple of days and I know there are dozens of separate shows, so I want to plan my time to visit the best of them. It seems like the 22nd Street Show should be a good one to attend, what other ones should I think about attending? What Fossil Forum members will be exhibiting there? I'd like to try to at least stop by and say hello, maybe buy something, too.
  3. Wyoming And Utah Fossil Trip

Hey everyone, Long time no see, hope everyone has been doing well. I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some recommendations for a trip I'm planning next month. Right now my plan is to head to Kemmerer and look for some green river fish, and then head to salt lake city for a couple day. Next I was looking at going on to Delta to hit up U-dig for trilobites, and then heading to Moab before finally heading home to ND. So I guess my questions would be what quarry would you guys recommend in Kemmerer? Is U-dig worth it or is there a better quarry in that area to visit? Does anyone have any other recommendations on places to stop along any part of the trip for fossils or otherwise? And are there any special tools I should bring to any of these locations? Thanks again for your help everyone, I plan on posting all my finds here after the trip too.
  4. Tulsa, Ok Area Hunt/meet-Up

I'll be traveling to back to Tulsa for the week of Thanksgiving and the first week of December and was wanting to see if anyone wanted to try and organize a member hunt and/or meet-up at some point during that time since I've seen so many new members from the area ever since I moved away. Just let me know if anyone is interested. Thank you, Peter
  5. Over the next few days I'll be moving from Tulsa, OK to Williston, ND for my job. My approximate route will be taking me through Oakley, KS; Rapid City, SD; and finally Williston, ND. On my way, I was hoping to make a stop in the Niobrara chalk near Oakley and then make a visit to Mount Rushmore in Rapid city, but other than that, I haven't thought of any other good stops. So, if anyone has any good suggestions for stops ( for fossiling or otherwise) or advice on hunting the chalk, your input is greatly appreciated. I'll be trying to post the pictures from my trip on here as I go, but they will get on here eventually. Thanks again everyone, -Peter
  6. Kansas Day Trip

Well with tomorrow being the fourth of July, I get a day off from work, and, I thought what better way to celebrate our countries independence than by digging around in the rocks our country was built on. Then, there is also the fact that I've made it up to the niobrara chalk area on business trips twice in the last two weeks, only to anxiously grind my teeth as we drove by, so I've been itching to get out and dig around somewhere. With all that being said, I know it's really last minute (sorry, I've been very busy lately), but I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a good day trip, within a 3 1/2 hr drive out of Wichita, or for that matter, if anyone was wanting to meet somewhere and go fossil hunting. I've already gone on the southeastern Kansas field trip on geokansas, and I don't think I'm up for the drive out to the chalk this time, but other than that, I'm up for anything in reason. So, any suggestions or any takers on the meet-up? Thanks again everyone for your help, I really appreciate it.
